I find that the people who do not talk comfortably about death are the very ones who don't have the assurance of salvation in their lives. It is awesomely motivating to describe my body as a "tent", because I know when this 'campout' is over I will no longer need to dwell in this tent, as I head home to our heavenly mansion. Thank You Jesus!!! The significance of Peter referring to hos death as a departure is the same for us modern day believers, we know where we are going since every departure has a destination.

Why is Christian character an essential indicator of being saved or rescued by Christ? Because of how much more rotten I was before salvation. Christian character can only be developed by the Holy Spirit, whom one can only be filled with at the moment of surrendering their life to Jesus. Christian character can be obtained, only through Christ.

I had a friend who I had a disagreement with and she stoped going to the church and quit the bible study through the church as well. If people stop going to a church, especially one as large as the one I attend, because of a conflict with a brother or sister, the maybe they should question why they were going to church in the first place, I am ther first and foremost to worship and study the Word. People are always going to be difficult to get along with, this side of Heaven. We cannot place so much emphasis on emotional things.

Of all of them,thus far, goodness has been easier to be transformed toward. None of them are easy, The hardest for me is self control and perseverance. It is easier to be good morally and of good character knowing that this pleases my Father.

A disciplined devotional life is important because without discipline, spiritul laziness sets in and before long, sleep. Sleeping spirituallt is very dangerous ground.When we forget or don't have time we need to pray and ask ourselves what got in the way. Usually it is a sidetrack from the enemy. Recognize it and move forward.

Hi, my name is Norree and I am so excited to be here. This is my first study with Joyful heart and I am glad to be a part of it. I live in Lake Elsinore California. I feel that my testimony and witness is important because it is our identity to Christ. I also feel that if we are not clear witnesses, often times it is because of the verbal "persecution" either way it is said when we don't.
