  1. The two witnesess were faithful to the end. They were doing the will of God. We have a plague that says The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God can not keep you. We need to be more faithful and trust in God to keep us in our walk with Him. We will go through firey trials but we need to keep looking to God for strength to get through it. Their reward was to be with the One that they loved and worshiped.
  2. With dividiing the men in three groups the men looked to be a bigger army than they were. The enemy thought they were surrounded on all sides. The breaking of the torches was a frightening sound and with the lights comming at them and the blowing trumpets made the emeny so afraid that they started to attack their own fellowmen. The enemy are blinded by fear and turn on their own. The strategy worked for they beat the enemy. When people today are in trouble they are blinded by a fear and lash out usually the ones that are closest to them.
  3. The people would brag and say that they defeated the Midinites themselves. They would not give God the glory. God uses the small things to give HIm glory.
  4. I think that when we are confused in what God wants us to do we could ask in child like manner talking to our Father for a sign to make things more cleareer for us. I don't think we should ever dare God to give us a sign. It would be like we are greater than God.
  5. Gideon puts out the fleece twice because he needs to be asured that God will be with him in battle. I can picture Gideon pacing back and forth wringing his hands in a nervous way wondering what God would do to him for asking twice. But God is a loving God and understanding. Remember God had to reasure him in the first place when God choose Gideon to go to battle.
  6. I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me!! Dear God please forgive me for not trusting in you in all things and that You will bring me through all my problems and fears. Please keep me strong in my wlak with you. To keep my eyes upon you and not the circumstances around me. Amen. We have a plague that says, The will of God will not take you where the grace of God cannot keep you.
  7. Gideon just out right tells God if He was with them the bad things wouldn't of happened to them. I think of the Footprints in the sand poem. It was God that carried them through. They had their lives yet. He spared them that. It was a wake up call to them. It is never right to blame God for the things that happen in our lives. We bring it on ourselves. God loves us and he will punish us when we are wrong.
  8. God saw Gideon as a mighty man of valor and Gideon saw himself as a weak man. We need to put our whole selves in Gods' hands and He will make us what He wants us to be. Often times God uses the weakest things to bring His Glory. We sometimes make ourselves weak just to get out of doing things because of just being pure lazy.
  9. They disobeyed Gods voice. They broke the commandment Thy shalt have no other Gods before me.
  10. Hi! My name is Anita. I live in Johnstown, Pa. I've done several Bible studies with Pator Wilson and leaned a lot from them. I really need to get back to studing my Bible again. I'm married with three children. Two sons ages 18 and 15 and a daughter age 6. I trully feel we are in the end times and need to get as close to God as we can and I feel doing a Bible study gets you to do that.
