  1. Q2. (4:3-4) Why do non-Christians try to get you to sin with them. Why are we tempted to do so? How can we resist this temptation ? I think that non-christians will try to get you to sin with them just to see if you are as committed to your faith in Jesus Christ as you proclaim, for one. I have found that one of the biggest problems we christians have is not being sure about our faith and it is this area that non-christians tend to focus on (another way of looking at it could be that satan is really tempting you by trying to get you focus on areas in your life where you need extra help from God in strengthening). We may be tempted to do so because I believe that a lot of us Christians have gotten so used to only being open about our beliefs in front of other Christians instead of who it matters to even more - the non-believers. Professing your love for Christ in all situations of your life can make you stick out like a sore thumb, especially if you are surrounded by a group of folk who will attempt to shake your faith. We can resist this temptation through constant conversation and prayer with Christ, for he must be consulted before we make any decisions, and we must let our actions speak for us. Just taking one minute to ask Christ about a situation before you act on it can make a world of difference. And most important, we must always remember - Through Christ, we can do all things! We will find that some of those non-christians may end up becoming Christians just seeing what Christ is doing in your life through your actions.
  2. Q2. (3:3) Why should women try to look their best? How can trying to look their best divert women from what is more important? What is the balance? I think looking your best should reflect your inner spiritual glow of the holy spirit. Your genuine love of Christ that you have within will appear on your exterior and it will show in your walk, your talk, your mannerisms, and even how you dress. I have found that there were things I wore before I surrendered my life to Christ that I will not wear now because it is no longer a reflection of who I am. It is a big difference when you are trying to look your best out of being fashionable, as I can attest to, because for me, it only revealed to me that I had some deep seated insecurites that separated me from God. It diverted me from what was really important - cultivating my relationship with HIM. Once I truly gave my life and soul over to him and allowed him to use me, the healing process started and I began to see that no matter how flashy my apparel may be, it does not mean a hill of beans if you are not embraced by the love of your savior.
  3. Why is Jesus' sinlessness so important to my salvation? In what way do you think Jesus suffered when your sins were poured into his soul? How could a sinless Man stand this kind of corruption? I believe it is because of his unexplainable love for me. God himself said "This is my son, whom I am pleased." He gave the ultimate sacrifice by being crucified on the cross for our corruption and rejection of him-then he risen- I can't ask for more than that. Yet I find myself in situations I have no business in, he still loves me and forgives. I believe that when Christ was up on that cross, even through all of that agony when he cried out to God for that brief moment, his soul was still with God, and that is the same with us as Christians - our flesh can be shattered at times, but with Christ abiding in soul, our faith in God will not waver. That is important to my salvation.
  4. Joy to me is being able to give thanks to God for my blessings, to be able to hold my head up high when it seems like everyone around me is against me, to have enough confidence to know that no matter how difficult my situation may seem, I still have a lot to smile about because God is walking beside me. Just thinking about what he has done for me so far brings me inexpressible joy.
  5. Hello to everyone. I am Mary and I look forward to learning more about God with each and everyone of you! I am from the USA.
