  1. In this passage on the "Creator of the ends of the earth," which words are repeated in verses 28-31? What application are we disciples to derive from this passage so that we might understand God's might as Creator? the words that repeated are tired and weary. application we are to derive from this passage are that he made every thing and we as humans cant do anything with out him.
  2. How many names, titles, and metaphors of God can you find in this passage, both explicit and implicit? What does the Psalmist call on us to do in response to God revealed in his Names? Why are these actions appropriate? 12 but they repeated them alot.Be happy for you he is. these actions appropriate because we are his and that is what he wants us to do.
  3. What inherent rights does a Potter, Creator, or Maker have over what he has created? How should that effect our lives, our self-image, our sense of purpose? the maker has all rights to do what ever he wants. this should effect our lives becasue what we are doing is not what he wants. self-image is effect by what we look like and if he likes it, our purpose is effect becasue the same as the others
  4. How do you think David's understanding of the Living God enabled him to challenge Goliath? Read Hebrews 10:31 in context. Why should the Living God inspire fear and dread? David's is able to challenge Goliath because with god we can do anything. this should inspire fear and dread because what if what we do is displeasing to him.
  5. Why is it ridiculous for a pot to second-guess the Potter? How do we Christians do this? What is a better attitude and behavior before our Creator? it is ridiculous for the pot to second guess the potter because pots don't have brains. Christians do this with how we look. think him for everything.
  6. What does the idea of "first" and "last" tell you about God? How does Revelation 1:8 relate to God's revelation to Moses, "I AM THAT I AM"? he was the first thing around and he will be the last thing around. the two names mean the same thing.
  7. What do you think it is like to "inhabit eternity"? What will it be like when you inhabit eternity with the Eternal God, seated with Christ Jesus in heavenly places? What emotions does this inspire in you? i think it will be scary and wonderful at the same time. the same thing is going though my head fear and wonderful too.
  8. How should the knowledge that the battle is the Lord's affect the way we approach life? In what way do both timidity and brashness get it wrong? Are there any instances in which the Lord will not fight our battles? this should make us not be fearful. timidity makes us think we can't do anything and brashness makes us think we can do anything without god. yes if we do not ask him or if it is ungodly.
  9. In what sense was Moses' rod like a signal pole in this battle? In what sense is the LORD our banner in the battles we face? Moses' rod is a pole in battle because this made the people fight for him. god is our banner because he is what helps us fight.
  10. (Matthew 26:53) Why did Jesus not call on the heavenly host in the Garden of Gethsemane? What happens when does he does call on the heavenly hosts? (Revelation 19:11-16) he did not call them down because he had to die for our sin. when he call them down he will judge humans.
  11. Meditate on the titles "King of Glory" (Psalm 24:7-10) and "Father of glory" (Ephesians 1:17). What do they tell us about God? How should they affect our attitudes as we worship God? According to 2 Corinthians 3:18, how does God's glory come to fill our lives this titles tell me god is the master of glory and made glory in all its power. this affects my attitude because god can make something so holy and powerful like glory that all he wents from me is love then he is more than worthy to have it.
  12. Meditate on the phrase "High and Lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy...." (Isaiah 57:15, RSV). What do you learn about God from this phrase? How should this affect your outlook on life, your way of conducting yourself? what i learn from this is that he is high than everything. how this affects my outlook on life is that he can see everything. a song that reminds me of this is el Elyon.
  13. What does the phrase "redemption of our bodies"(Romans 8:23-24) tell us about our resurrection? 15. What is the word used in the Bible instead of "rapture"? When will the resurrection take place in relation to Christ's return? In relation to judgment? In relation to glory? (This is NOT the place to debate various theories of the rapture and the millennium.) the word the bible uses instead of rapture is caught up. when Jesus comes back the dead will rise than the living will go up and meet him.in relation to judgment i think it will be at the same time. same as the judgment, glory will be at the same time.
  16. What does being steadfast and immovable have to do with the hope of the resurrection? Why is our labor not in vain in the Lord? We have to be steadfast and immovable in our faith so that we don't fall away from God so that we will have hope to be resurrection. are labor is not in vain because it is not are work but his.
  17. What assurance do you have that you will be physically resurrected rather than experience disembodied immortality? What does it mean that Jesus is the "firstfruits" (1 Corinthians 15:20) and "firstborn" (Revelation 1:5) from the dead? what assurance that i will be physically resurrected is a line from Job that says "...after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God..." what it means that Jesus is the firstfruits and the firstborn from the dead is that was the first to die and come back
  18. How does Christ's death and resurrection provide an analogy for baptism according to Romans 6:3-5 and Colossians 2:12? According to Ephesians 2:4-6, while being "raised with Christ" is still spiritual, not physical, in what way does this union impart real spiritual power? In Romans 6:3-5 and Colossians 2:12 the analogy for Christ's death and baptism by saying going under the water is dying and being put in the grave and coming out of the water is being resurrected with Jesus. Ephesians 2:4-6 means that bring "raised with Christ" is that we are sinful and will still be raised with Jesus are lord.
  19. Which of the various proofs for the resurrection seems the most compelling to you? Why? If you had a friend who wasn't sure about the resurrection, could you explain why you're sure that Jesus was raised from the dead? the most compelling proof to me is post-resurrection appearances of Christ because a dead man can't talk or walk or eat with them. i could not explain to friend because i am not sure myself how to explain it.
  20. How does the disciples' psychological state after the crucifixion provide excellent support for belief in the resurrection? the disciples' psychological state is support for the resurrection because this shows that they had no reason to take his body and they were hiding thinking that if they come out they would be killed.
  21. On the theft theory, what motive might the disciples have to take Jesus' body? What motive might the Romans have? The Jews? Joseph of Arimathea? the disciples motive for taking Jesus' body is to say he is back. Romans motive might have been to say that he has not come back. the jews motive might have been the same as the romans. Joseph of arimathea motive may have been to reuse the tomb.
  22. What do you think motivates liberal Christian scholars to explain away the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ? Why would they claim that it is unhistorical more than some other event in the first century? i think liberal christian scholars to explain the resurrection away because than they have to say all the bible is real. they claim that it is unhistorical than other events because they would to say the bible is real.

  24. Q1. What differences do you find between the various resurrection accounts? How do you account for differences in eyewitness testimony? How might these differences add to the credibility of the witnesses? some of the differences are how many woman went, what they were doing, and who sew Jesus first. how i account for the differences is that the story was said so many times that the story was said in different ways. they are humans so the story will not be the same
  25. Q4. Why did Jesus' enemies heed his prediction of being raised on the third day even more than his disciples? Did his enemies expect him to rise? Did his followers?
