  1. The name Yahweh reveal that God has always existed, and will always exist. He is a living God who interacts with His people and who is revealed in His actions. He was not made by hands like the gods of the Egyptian, who are dead and have no life in them. His self existence also reveals His power.
  2. David understood that Gos is a living God who dwells among His people and who interacts with them. He also understood that He is almighty and omnipotent and no one can defeat Him. The living God inspires fear because sooner or later He will judge all people. Being a just and fair God He will punish the sins of the sinners; so if the sinner has not been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb then he will have to take the punishment of his sins which is eternal death.
  3. According to my understanding, time is measurable, it has a beginning and an end, while eternity has no beginning and no end and cannot be expressed in terms of time. Inhabiting eternity with God eternal and unlimited will be an experience that cannot be described with limited words uttered by a limited person. I don't think I can describe it now while in the flesh. Being in total Light, and with the Holy God in all His glory will be the source of complete joy and peace.
  4. Yahweh reveals that Gos has always existed and will continue to exist; nobody created Him or helped in His existence. This means that He is self existent, self sufficient, almighty and omnipotent. The gods of the Egyptians were man made, and were not able to speak, or interact with their surroundings.
  5. We should approach life in confidence because the battle is the Lord's and He is almighty He is the Lord of hosts and He is omnipotent. He has conquered the enemy on the cross. Timidity means that we do not trust God fully and brashness means that we are depending on our own strength and both are dishonoring to God. The Lord will not fight our battles when we act on our own and not under His guidance.
  6. As long as the hands were lifted up to the throne of God, and as long as the eyes were fixed on the Lord they won the battle; these 2 things were symbolized by Moses' rod being lifted up. The banner usually expresses the beliefs and the slogans of those who carry it. When we face battles, we do not face them in our own strength but we face them empowered by His strength and fighting for His cause.
  7. Jesus did not call on the heavenly host in the garden because the Scriptures had to be fulfilled and He had to go to the cross for the salvation of the world. Jesus will call on the heavenly hosts when He will come as the judge and they will follow Him proclaiming He is the King of kings and Lord of lords.
  8. Elisha's servant was afraid because he saw the power of the enemy attacking them, while Elisha saw the army that the Lord of Hosts sent to their rescue. We all need to always pray to God to open our spiritual eyes to see what is happening in the spiritual realm. This will make us realize that the One in us is much greater than the one in the world.
  9. God does not take sides because He does not follow human beings. He is the initiator of situations and we have to choose to be on His side if we want to be victorious. When Joshua realized that he was talking to the commander of God's army i.e. Yahwe-Sabaot he humbly fell on His face in worship and in submission. After being hesitant and fearful and also maybe wondering how his men will be able to conquer the big city, he realiized that Yahwe is real and is standing before him, and assuring him that he has delivered his enemies to him. Joshua felt much encouraged after this encounter because he realized that the battle is not his but the Lord's, and that he is going in obedience to Almighty God.
  10. God is the King of glory because He is the ultimate personification of perfection, Holiness, goodness, might, authority...etc. When we worship God we need to think of all these attributes and realize that it is really unfathomable and also very humbling that we the creatures who are so limited, and imperfect are allowed to communicate with Him and call Him Abba. God's glory come to fill our lives when we worship Him in Spirit and in truth, because where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom, the Spirit helps us to be gradually transformed to the image of Jesus and be delivered from the ways, beliefs and authority of the worl, thus reflecting more and more His glory to those around us.
  11. God is very high, He is far above all, He is exalted and He is Holy and eternal. Yet He delights in His children who are imperfect, lowly, mortal and limited. I always remind myself that I am created to His image, which means that His will for me is to be like His son, therefore I meed to ask the Holy Spirit to help me live the life He called me to, and to reflect His image to all people around me, so they can be attracted to Him and glorify Him.
  12. God is is perfect and sovereign over all the creation. Everything belongs to Him because He created all things. I will declare this truth in all my worship time, and I will entrust myself to Him and walk humbly and in obedience before Him. I will not question ot doubt His will and His plan for my life, because His plan is perfect whether I understand it or not.
  13. Abraham and Melchizedek believed that God Most High is the creator of heaven and earth and that He is fully supreme over everything. He is above all other gods, no one compares to Him.
