The Kingdom is small compared to the many souls who are without Christ. Only those who have put their faith and trust in Christ will enter the kingdom of God. The bible says narrow is the way to heaven, broad is the way to destruction and many there be who will go there at. The kingdom grows by witness and telling others about the need of a Savior. The banquet is large and will have many people from different nationalities there only those who have put their faith in Christ will be there, they will come from many denominations also. I am the way the truth and the life no man comes unto the father except by me.

It sums up why Jesus came to earth, to die for the sins of mankind. It tells us that God is love and not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. When we receive Christ as Savior we pass from death, separation from God, to life eternal, when we die we will be with the Lord in heaven. Those who have the son has life, those who do not have the Son of God has not life. Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that heareth my word, and believeth on Him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. John 5:24

The nature of the kingdom of God is spiritual not physical. When we are born again things change we no longer walk according to the world's standards, but we walk as Jesus walked. We are different from the world and their beliefs. Our purpose know is to serve a new master, not the devil. We have a new direction and a new life in Christ. If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature old things are passed away, behold all things become new. I do not think Nicodemus really understood the Lord, for he spoke of going back into his mother's womb. He did not understand that there has to be a spiritual change in a person. We change from carnal to spirtual when we are born again. We will never be perfect in this physical body, but we strive to more like the Master each day. Our goal is to please Him and tell others about their need of salvation. Jesus is not willing that any perish but that all should come to repentance.

It is to be sought after as you would search for hidden treasure. It is to be valued above rubies and diamonds it is worth giving our all. We value it so little because we seek after other things and we are too wrapped up in this world. Our first priority is seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteouness. As we live our lives for the Lord, those around us will see the value of seeking God's kingdom. When they see how we handle lifes trials they can see there is value in what we are living and striving to please.

Both of these are relying on something else other then Jesus blood and righteousness. There is only one religion and that is Jesus and His shed blood for the sins of the world. Jesus knew the heart of this rich young ruler and He wanted to him to make a choice riches or Jesus. Just as Christ gives everyone a choice to receive Him or reject Him. It is a privilege to serve the Lord and be part of His Kingdom and the promise of eternal life. The ruler rejected the offer because he had great riches and was not willing to give up his riches. Riches blind the eyes of people and keep us was doing the work of the Lord. God will have no other god before Him.

I believe Christ was testing this young man, I know God knows his heart, but I think he wanted to teach him a lesson about riches. It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom. Money is not evil, it is the love of it that corrupts. God will not be second to anyone, we must decide are we going to serve the world or God. Wealthy people can be a help to the work of the Lord, but if we put that before Him, He will have no other god's before Him, including money. We need to ask ourselves daily why do I serve the Lord, is it for Him Kingdom or our own ego. The only way to be saved is by faith in Jesus and him alone, we cannot buy our way to heaven or eternal life. Riches corrupt if not used for the work of the kingdom. We cannot hold fast to riches, they can be gone in an instant, but what is done for Christ will last.

The dications of His coming will be like as in the days of Noah, they were eating and drinking and suddenly dsestruction and only 8 souls were saved. As in the dsys of Sodom which had warnings from the Angels and only Lot and his two daughters were saved. We do not know the hour of our Lords return, but we must be ready. We need to keep our hearts and minds of the things of the Lord. Looking to that blessed hope and appearing of the Lord Jesus. Jesus tells us to watch and be ready, keep our eyes on the western sky but keep on working for the Lord winning the lost Jesus said occupy until I come.

I believe Jesus is saying that when we receive Christ as Savior, we will battle the flesh, devil and the spirit daily. We need to daily and moment by moment yield to the Spirit. The devil will attack and try to tear us down, but greater is He that is in us then he that is in the world. Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these things shall be added unto you. Seek the kingdom like we are searching for something that is of great value. Love the LOrd with all our heart, soul, and body, give all that we have to the glory of the Lord. We press toward the mark for high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Fight the good fight never give into the devil and the flesh. Yield to the Spirit and ye shall not full fill the **** of the flesh. When we realize all that we have in Jesus and all He has done for us, can we not serve Him with all that we have. It is a daily struggle if we are enter the kingdom and hear the Savior say well done, thou good and faithful servant, enter my kingdom. To whom we yield to will determine our rewards, whether they are wood, hay, stubble or brick. May I be found faithful, just as Paul said for me to live is Christ to die is gain. I feel sorry for those who never fully surrender to the Lord, because they can never have peace and contentment in their life, only a life that is fully surrendered to the LOrd will they be contended in whatever state they are in.

We are to continue seeking and knocking because God wants to hear from us daily in our needs and wants. I have been praying everyday for our family to be saved and I will continue to do so until the Lord takes me home or until they are no longer here. God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Those who give up and do not continue in prayer have lost heart and gave up on God. I will never surrender my family to satan. God will answer in His perfect timing. We get boldness in prayer, by a constant awareness of the Lord in our life and never, never, never, give up, I surrendered my life to the Lord many years ago and I will not give up praying for our family and our needs also. Thank you Lord for your love. Is 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint.

Email me To seek first the kingdom of God means to put God first in all that we do. That includes our families and money. When we are seeking what God wants in our lives we will be seeking the kingdom of God. What and how would God have me to react in each situation and each decision, seek first God. By seeking His righteousness we are seeking each day to be conformed to His image and to act as He would act, seek after the things that God loves, love, joy, peace, long suffering, patient, gentleness, meekness, these are the things we should be seeking. When we are seeking after God and His righteousness the Bible says that if God takes of the birds will He not take care of you. As we seek God and righteousness, God will take care of us, we need to make sure we have our priorities right and God will meet our needs not our wants. Bob and I are missionaries and we live on $600 a week and travel full time in an RV and I can say that God has meets our needs and we have helped others also. As we are seeking God and his righteousness all these things shall be added unto you. I know God has done that for us.

Email me Those who are rich can actually help the work of God. The problem is not the money it is the love of it. What we have is the Lords any way. If we keep that in mind, then we can serve God with what we have. I think Jesus is talking figurativly, he is saying that when we put anything before the Lord that becomes our God and He will have no other gods before him. The rich can and are a help to the work of God by their giving missionaries can go the mission field and help the church to reach out to those in the church and those in the community.

Jesus gave us the parable of the seeds, because He know that those who hear some will hear the word then the cares of this world would choke out the message, some will follow for awhile then fall away. It is only the seed that falls on a true heart of repentance will the word produce fruit in their life. We should not be discouraged because Jesus said this would be by the parable of the seeds. God knows the heart of each profession the growing depends on the HOly Spirit and a persons willingness to obey. If you love me keep my commandments, He that saith he loves me and obeyeth not my word is a liar and the truth in not in them. All God asks is obedience, is that not all He asked of Adam and Eve. Those who name the name of Christ need to walk as Jesus walked and talk as Jesus talked. We will not be perfect, but our goal, as was Paul's, is to strive each day to be like the Savior. For to me to live is Christ, to die is gain.

Those who read and obey God's Word will grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord. Those who say to the Lord here am I Lord send me. God will use us if we give our whole life over to Jesus and His leading in our life. We have to relinquish our heart and soul to the Lord, just not all but the whole. Then God can use to produce 30, 50. 100 fold. We need to surrender all the Savior, if we are going to be used by Him.
