  1. Adoption is a good illustration because none of us are the same and so adoption was able to bring us all into one family regardless of our differences. It is encouraging because God chose each and every one of us even though we aren't perfect. Also, we have a huge family to get encouragement from!!
  2. It means to be His and be like God; trying to imitate Christ, live for God, and do His will. You can stand "blameless" only after accepting Christ because He died for our sins.
  3. The scary part is not knowing the full will of God for my life and wondering/hoping what I am doing is in accordance with it. The comforting part is that God is in control of everything and nothing happens without His say so. Paul brings it up maybe to quell the fears of the Church that they were having in the midst of persecution. He could be telling the Ephesians that they nor God made a mistake in their choice of salvation and so they should embrace it completely.
  4. This phrase gives me comfort knowing that Christ is part of me and will always be there. It's like a partnership between me and Christ except He is the one with everything and I am in it because He chose me and wants me there. This phrase also gives me strength to know that Christ is a part of me so I don't have to know all of the answers or do everything right.
