There was much opposition to Paul's ministry because there were so many converts to Christianity, many jews believing and leaving the Temple. He kept preaching to reach as many as he could. He had a great zeal for the Gospel. He always had his eye on the prize not on the circumstances. We can learn much from Paul's example. No we shouldn't stop trying just because of opposition, but we need to step back and consult the Lord as to how He would have us proceed in His will and His way.

I am from Maryland and I have participated in other bible studies with Dr Ralph. I really enjoyed studying God's word in this way. Anytime we can feed on God's word it is awesome.

by loving the Lord with a sincere heart and not just obeying a list of rules.Legalism is rules,love is devotion,wanting to obey out of deep love. We can make love our center by staying focused on the cross.

We rejoice in sufferings because our faith gets tested and tried and we become stronger.Perseverance produces patience and allows us to bear our sufferings, which builds our character and we become more compassionate to others. Hope is important because it strengthens our faith in what we can't see. v.m.c
