  1. That sin is seriously offense to God and the price of sin if not atoned can cause terrible punishment. But that He can become angry with us, but in turn is merciful and forgiving.
  2. God's mercy allows these sacrifices to purge our sins until the adequate sacrifce comes. Animal sacrifices were not an adequate atone. Animal sacrifices did not cleanse you from sin nor did God owe forgiveness because of a ritual sacrifice.
  3. To bring forth a femal lamb without blemish. Confession of sins is very much necessary for forgiveness of sin. Sacrifice of a female lamb or kid is no longer necessary because Jesus sacrificed His life on the cross for the pardon of our sins.
  4. Modern city people may eat animals but not kille them. They are not like farmers where they had to kill animals nor grow food and then prepare them for their dinner. So taking the life of an animal can has a strong effect on city versus farming.
  5. Sin is an offense to God. This makes Him angry not at us, but at our sins. Capricious is to acto out on a whim, or erractic. Uncontrolled anger is to act out without thinking or rationalize, anger is to be upset.
  6. Lambs were used by the Jews as a sacrifice for forgiveness of sin. The Jews concept was only their sins were forgiven. Whereas Jesus doesn't forgive just one single person or a sect, he forgives sins for everyone, the entire world for that matter.
