  1. John shows us that at each stage of the christian life there are different levels of encouragement that is required. The child life is one where we have to be reminded that our past sins are truly forgiven and this is through Christ. Sometimes the devil tries to suggest to us that this is not so. At the young man stage we know that our past sins were forgiven now being more mature we have the word of God continually at our finger tips (strong)to resist the devil's temptations . Then the father (elder) stage is just the constant reminder of the relationship with God the Father and who was always there throughout the Christian walk
  2. Hi Johann I only became a Christian in 2005, praise God, after in the world for 40 years and more. I may not be as verse with the scriptures as others and hence so far I am not convinced that a Christian cannot fall back into the trapping of the enemy (satan)- turn away from Christ. Thus I agree with Ron 2 about "eternity in hell" since there are some scriptures that seem to point in us that direction. However the focus should always be on walking in the Light and having our saviour to turn to in times of crisis. The Holy Sprit always nug us in the correct direction .
  3. If there is no repentance then we have eternal damnation. Psalm 66:18 reveals to us why some prayers are not answered when we have this secret sin (self deception) "If I regard iniquity in my haert the LORD will not hear me" Unanswered prayers. When we continue to walk as Christians should we can enjoy true fellowship with the Body of Christ and when the devil temps us we can with the help of the blood of Jesus resist those temptations.
