God can recieve glory and praise through our compassion and love for one another;not only in church but outside the church. We bring glory to God by helping those in need; showing joy to others even our enemies; and living a life thats pleasing to God. Patricia

Q8. (3:20) How should verse 3:20 of the doxology energize your prayers? What happens when we limit God by our own ability to comprehend? How can we get past this failing? The doxology will energize my prayers because I know and understand the abundance of Gods glory. I stand in amazement and awe and wonder at what he has brought into my experience and my life -- beyond all that you can ask or think. That is the nature of the God; that power is at work in us right now. We must study the word of God verse by verse if needed; when we dont spend time in the word we wont understand the plan of God in our lives. If you put your case in the hands of this mighty God, by obeying his laws; praying and developing a personal relationship with God; praying and interceding for others you will discover that, though he might take you in ways you don't understand at first; seem to be almost tragic in their nature, nevertheless, out of them he will bring you to the place where you need to be. Q7. (3:19) Have you ever prayed for a fellow believer that he or she might be "filled with all the fullness of God"? What would you be praying for with that kind of prayer? How does this prayer relate to Ephesians 5:27 and Colossians 1:28? I dont think so; I am just understanding the fullness of God through this lesson. Now that I understand a little of the fullness of God; I would pray that they would surrender themselves to God; let God dominate their lives; not flesh or man; Love one another as Christ loves the church. This prayer relates to Ephesians 5:27 because the purpose of love is to bring about perfection in our lives through Christ. Christ loves the church and is committed to removing all the blemishes so He can present her in all her glory and beauty to Himself; and Colossians 1:28 relates to this prayer in the form of spiritual growth; a systematic presentation of the truth of God

Q6. (3:17-19) Why does Paul pray that the believers grasp the fullest extent of Christ's love for them? How does comprehending this love change a person's spiritual life? Is there any end to Christ's love for a person? You cant teach love; You have to live it and feel it. You don

Q5 (3:16-17) Why does Paul pray for strengthening of the inner man? How would we pray this prayer today? Why does he pray that Christ dwell in the believers' hearts? Isn't this already an established fact? Paul is praying for those believers to learn to tap into that which they already have in Jesus Christ. You see, the area in which we are strengthened is the inner man. That is the spiritual part of our life. I would pray; as we yield to the Holy Spirit of God who resides in our spirit,we surrender to Him, and when we allow Him to control ue, we experience the fullness of all that He has given us in Christ Jesus. Yes it is already established but Christ is only at home in the life of a person who loves Him, loves His Word and surrendered to His will; and that person is going to experience the dwelling of Jesus within us. We must make Him feel at home by means of faith. If I am not trusting Him, and surrendering to Him, then obviously He is uncomfortable in my life. Patricia

. (1:18) Why is a revelation of "his incomparably great power for us who believe" essential to a vital faith? We are called to truth and to be faithful, for which we will receive commendation, victory, and security. We will receive our rewards and our proper place! We will see that all we went through in life had a purpose and a reason, and we will see that the people who benefited were the souls that were saved and the work that gave Him glory. We will see clearly what our life was about, and what it meant to Christ and to others How do you develop this faith in yourself? As maturing Christians we must pray everday with a sincere heart; we must allow the search and conviction of the Holy Spirit upon our lives; to the very core of our souls (2 Cor. 13:5)! Once this happens, the result will be more faith and more use to Christ. We must also walk by faith and really believe in Gods promises. How do you pray for it for others? I would pray that thier faithfulness and,prayer life will grow stronger because nothing else we can do is greater for our Lord. Our works do not earn our salvation; His grace paid for that. But, why be ones who are foolish when we can be victorious, faithful sheep. Patricia

Q3. (1:18) What is the result in prayer and faith if believers think that God is poverty-stricken? How does knowledge of a "glorious inheritance" motivate our lives? Our prayers? How can you pray for others to glimpse this inheritance? The promises of the Word of God do not profit us unless we believe them and receive them by faith, just as the revelations of Scripture have no value to us unless we respond to them in obedience to the Word of God. The glorious inhertance motive me to keep studying, praying and live a life that pleasing in God's eye. Which means I must help the least of those, love one another even my enemies. I must pray for all people,the sick, homeless, leaders, ministers, elders, pastor and the like. Most of all for those who havenot given't their lives to Christ. Abba Father please forgive those who think you are poverty stricken. Father open up their spiritual eyes and ears to seek , wisdom, knowledge and understanding on their inheritance. Please father connect them to a church that can help them understand the promises of God; some dont understand because they haven't been taught. In your son Jesus Name Amen Patricia

Q2. (1:18) How has your Christian "hope" changed your way of living? What is the result of Christians with only a meager or minute hope? How would you pray for hope to be borne in others? My christian hope, faith and a corresponding action has not only change my life it has enhanced it. For example; I have been fighting cancer for about nine years; I always prayed over all medication given to me. I pay that it not harm my vital organs and the like. I ask the Holy Spirit to give me strength, wisdom and understanding to go through this next round of chemo. Also I ask God to guide me to people who are in need of prayer and salvation during times of infusion because most of them look like they just want to give up and die. Christians with minute hope will be left out of the true glory of God and His promises for them. I think that they are hot and cold christians. When I am hot I believe in the promises of God because things our lining up right; but when it isn't lining up I have meager hope that it will get better. I would pray that God would open up their spiritual eyes and ears to understand His promises and revelation about hope. God wants to give you a peace and a hope and a expected end. Amen Patricia

Q1. (1:17-18). What do you learn from Paul's manner of prayer for the Ephesian believers? If Christians stopped praying for people to receive a revelation of God, would people come to know God on their own? Would God work in them at all? How important is this kind of prayer? I have learned that Paul's manner of prayer for the Ephesian believers •Prayer for a “spirit of wisdom and of revelation” (verse 17) •Prayer that the “eyes of their heart may be enlightened” (verse 18). •Prayer that the Ephesian saints may come to grasp in the hope of His calling; the glory of His inheritance in the saints; the surpassing greatness of His power I hope that we never stop praying for christians and unbelievers to recieve a revelation from God. However, if it should happen I think it would be felt in their soul. And this would draw them closer to God to find out where they stand with the Almighty. God is working in them through the Holy Spirit, by letting them know something just isn't right in thier soul. This kind of prayer is important because Paul pray fervently and continually for each members of the congregation. Patricia

Q4. (22:43) Did Jesus get "special treatment" because he was the Son of God to have angels help and strengthen him in his spiritual struggle? Do we get that help, too? Jesus came into the world as a lowly servant. He came not to be serve but to serve others. He was born in one of the most filthiest and smelliest place a stable; his bed was an animal feeding trough. He didnt have special treatment then and He didnt have special treatment; when the Angels gave him strength to endure the pain facing him. If we pray with a sincere heart through our spiritual stuggles; God will send us Angels or a physical being to encourage us to believe and hold on to our faith. Patricia

Q3. (22:42) When Jesus prayed "not my will, but yours be done," was the Father pleased? Why is the Father not pleased when we are passive and uncaring and dispassionate in our prayers that his will be done? What is required for us to pray the prayer of submission with authenticity? Yes the Father is pleased when we pray according to His will. When we pray according to God's will we pray His will on earth as it is in Heaven. God is not pleased with our uncaring and dispassionate prayers because its not about us or one indiviual; It about doing things that glorify His Kingdom. We must pray with compassion and conviction that Gods will be done in all our lives. Submission to God is not easy and there will always be the temptation of returning to our own self. Even Jesus was tempted to not surrender His life to God's plan! But what happened? He resisted and the devil fled from Him. Surrending to God gives us purpose in our lives. Surrendering to God doesn't mean living without a purpose. Instead, it means to start living with a purpose; to understand the plan of God in our lives. Patricia

Q2. (22:42) Why did Jesus pray that the Father take the cup from him? According to Mark and Matthew, Jesus repeated this prayer three times. Why was he so intense about it? What did this mean? Why was Jesus resisting the Father's will? Or was he? Jesus was dealing with spiritual darkness and temptation as well. It was never should I or should I not; the will of the Father is something that Jesus followed throughout his life. Jesus prayer was so intense because he had the weight of the world's sin on His sinless body. He understood that he must shed his blood to free us from sins through repentance. Jesus knew that he must go through physical pain and the seperation from the Father was not an easy task. Jesus wasnot resisting the Father "He ask if it be your will please take this burden from me. Jesus also prayed"Father let your will be done and not mines" I cant imagine his pain, no one will ever know. He saved us from sin and damanation. So that we can choose to serve Him or the little god. Patricia

Q1. (22:40-41, 45-46) Why did he ask his disciples to pray? What temptation did Jesus know they would be facing? What was the content of their prayer to be? Did they actually pray this prayer diligently? How does the Lord's Prayer word this kind of prayer? Why do you think Jesus wanted to be alone during his own prayer? Jesus ask the diciples to pray that they not enter into temptation. Jesus knew that they would be tempted to sleep instead of praying. They were very sad that praying had made them tired. v46 He said to them,

Q4. (2:4) What danger is Nehemiah in? Why does he pray quickly and silently before he answers the king? How does this quick "arrow prayer" relate to the four months of prayer he has just finished? Nehenmiah placed his self in grave danger coming before the King with a sad face. As a cup bearer or servant he is not to display emotions before the King. When the King ask why are you sad?; he quickly pray silently to God to give him the words to say. Nehemiah had already establish a personal relationship with God in prayer his whole life; and was considered a righteous man. The four months of fasting and praying fervently was needed to show himself worthy of favor from God. He had a great task before him and needed divine intervention. So whenever needed; he can pray an arrow prayer because of his righteous relationship with God. Patricia
