  1. Yes, for years I wanted to be married and it was just not happening. The Lord gave me this verse in Isaiah 43:18-19. "Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth;shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert." I want to encourage everyone who is waiting for God's promises. Try to hold on and He will fulfill all His promises to you and more than you could even ask or imagine. I'm going to try to find a verse that I am reminded of that reads something like that but I can't find it right now. Does anyone know the reference?
  2. I think the lesson here to learn is that we need to be selective in what we would take from someone. For example, for me, I am self-employed and do housecleaning, petsitting and housesitting. I have been housecleaning for a certain lady for about 15 years. She was married at first but then they got a divorce. She moved to another house and was single for quite a while. She traveled a lot at that time and I did housesitting and housecleaning. Then when I was on one of my trips to visit my daughter and grandchildren in another state, I surmised that her new boyfriend started living with her there. I felt that I could no longer work for her anymore because of this situation. Another example is in my town of Austin, TX Planned Parenthood is trying to open a new abortion facility to kill children in later terms of their preborn life. Some construction companies refused to do business with Planned Parenthood and so lost money. It was hard to find a concrete supplier but finally, one company relented and did the business. But I think the right thing to do would be refuse to take money from an organization like Planned Parenthood because of what they do. It shows godly character when you have standards of what you feel is moral and you refuse to take money from or for something evil.
  3. We have to have faith in order to obey what God is telling us. But we cannot get the faith ourself, God gives us the faith. God gives us the faith and then gives us the words and situations in order to minister. When I go in front of the abortion clinic, I don't know what is going to happen that particular day. I don't know what I'm going to say. I just have faith that God will show me as I actually deal with the situation. The words come to me and what I am to do. Most times I obey and do what God is telling me. But sometimes I am afraid or talk myself out of something that God wanted me to do or say. That is when I feel really bad that I didn't have the faith that He wanted me to have. Or I didn't act in the faith. But He brings wonderful things to happen sometimes. A woman will change her mind and not have an abortion and we praise Him!
  4. I have been called from God since 1988 to be outside of abortion clinics (whether local or when I'm traveling) to help women when they feel that they have no other choice. I and others reach out to them to demonstrate that there is help and support for them when they feel alone. Sometimes a woman is pressured by a boyfriend, husband, or friends and think they can't make it by themself. In the last few months I have been unable to find a regular sidewalk counseling partner to fulfill this urging inside of me to be there as much as I would like. I don't know what this means in relation to God's calling in my life. I am doing ministry on the internet, both this and post abortion ministry. I don't know if God is redirecting my life or what this all means.
  5. Hello all! My name is Diane and I live near Austin, TX. My ministry is to women in unplanned pregnancies and to women who have suffered the effects of abortion. I am happy to be doing another study with Dr. Wilson and hope I can discipline myself to spend the time that I should. Please pray for me and all of us as we start this study next week.
