  2. Q3. (2 Corinthians 1:10-11) Why does Paul ask people to pray for him? How do the prayers of others have an effect? What happened in your life that has helped you enter into a ministry of intercessory prayer? I believe that Paul had them pray for him cause he knew the power of prayer and how God not only delivered him once but can deliver again. He wanted others to see what the power that was in prayer from God so that they too can continue to pray for one another. Prayers of others have the effect of much power that can only come from God through prayer. The effect it has is one like no other. It has the power to raise the dead Paul said. I am not really a "Intercessory" prayer person. I do pray regularly and I do prayer for others. I know how prayer works and how it calls down the power of God to do the things that we ourselves can not do. Praise God for answered prayer. Without it, I don't think I would be saved right now. It was the prayers of others that brought me to my knees to repaent before God and recieve His salvation.
  3. Q2. (2 Corinthians 1:9-10) How does facing a harrowing crisis help us grow in the Lord? How has a crisis helped your spiritual life? What is the value of learning not to rely on ourselves? What does this do to our pride? How does this improve our effectiveness as God’s servants? Ans. Q2. - Facing a "harrowing" crisis brings us closer to God cause it almost forces us to depend on Him for the answer. But also, it teaches us how to depend on the Lord and not on ourselves. We draw closer to God in these types of situations. Since coming to know the Lord I have faced many crisis' in my life. And at the begining I would not know how to handle them. But since then I have learned that I really don't have many choices when it comes to facing crisis. I've learned to trust God in those situations and His Word for the deliverance. It is a "great" value to one to learn how not to rely on one's self. These crisis also teaches us to put down our pride and lift up the Name of Jesus. This improves our effectiveness as God's servants by not allowing the crisis' to overcome us but the Lord gives us the power to overcome an d continue in the battle. Praise God for who He is. Rev. George
  4. Q1. (2 Corinthians 1:3-7) What kind of comfort do you receive from your faith in God? From your personal daily relationship with God? How might you share the blessing of this kind of comfort with a friend or relative who is currently suffering? What words of comfort can you bring to others? Ans. Q1.- The kind of comfort I recieve from my faith in God is the comfort of knowing that God will never leave me nor forsake me. When I feel down, my faith in Him brings me back up. I get recieve comfort knowing that one day I will be in Heaven with my Father. My salvation brings me comfort, knowing and having a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. I would first of all sit there and listen to them and what they have to say concerning their challenge. Then I would offer prayer so that the Comforter, the Holy Spirit can bring them the comfort they need. Also I would offer them Jesus Christ and His salvation if they were not saved. Be still and let the Lord. God loves you and wants to get closer to you. He is the salvation of your life and can bring you joy everlasting. Praise God! Rev. George
  5. Praise the Lord that I get a chance to do another Bible study of Dr. Wilson's. It has been a pleasure and fun to do these types of Bible studies. I get a lot of understanding of God's Word through these studies. They have just enhanced my knowledge in the Word and they have given me more insight so that I can pass it on to others. Thank you Dr. Wilson. Pastor George Norwalk, Calif.
  6. A Christian who doesn't repent when adopting the Christian faith is still walking in sin, their own sins. Repentance is a big part of our faith and in accepting of the Lord jesus christ into our hearts. The Lord can't live where sin does. He say's that we are to be "Holy as He is Holy." That part requires us to repent of all our sins. People avoid repentance because I believe that they are afraid of what the Lord can really do with a clean life. Sometimes they don't want to leave behind their acts of sin. They like the sin enough that they don't want to let it go. Little do they know that repentance leads to much that God has for you and I as Christians. There are many out in the world who have not repented and have an "unprepared" heart. God will judge those accordingly. It's our responsibility to find them people and offer them the love of God and an oppertunity to repent and seek Jesus. Love God and hate sin I say. God loves the sinner but hates the sin.

  8. Hi there. I love to study God's Word and see what He has for me.

  9. I believe that "testimony" is what God would want us to be in this world that is filled with so much sin. We as believer's in Christ must continue to keep that "testimony" of our Lord Jesus Christ. That way we can strengthen eachother and encourage. Secondly, "witness" is what we do for the Lord. Witness of His love and goodness. The hope of salvation and freedom from sin. Jesus is the "faithful witness" who encourages us daily with His Word of faith and hope. Many are afraid to be witness' of the Lord because I believe that at times they fear they might fail or fall away from that testimony that they are. God bless....
  10. Hi, My name is Pastor George from Los Angeles, California. I'm excited to start the Revelation Bible study. I'm looking forward to learning so much information so that I can share it with others.
  11. Q1. (1 John 1:3-4, 6-7) Why is our fellowship with fellow Christians so often just on a surface level? How can we have fellowship at a deeper level in Christ? What would it take in your Christian group or your relationships with other believers to deepen your level of fellowship so it is authentically Christian? *Why is our fellowship with fellow Christians so often just on a surface level? I feel that many Christians have yet to learn what Jesus meant when He would speak of "fellowship." Sometimes in our past before coming to know the Lord, we didn't trust people in general and this has carried on into our life with the Lord. Jesus needs to break that and the Christian needs to learn to trust the Lord first then we can trust others. *How can we have fellowship at a deeper level in Christ? We can only have this "deeper level" of fellowship when we as Christian come to know Christ truely and trust Him. Then we will put down our guard and let others into our lives and our fellowship will get "deeper." *What would it take in your Christian group or your relationships with other believers to deepen your level of fellowship so it is authentically Christian? Follow the Word of God. Trust Jesus. Live by what the Word tells us and not how the world would wants to act. Let it be you, the real you who fellowships. We need to encourage one another more often to a deeper level of fellowship and build on a Godly relationship(s).
  12. Praise the Lord! I'm glad to part of these bible studies. I'm a assistant pastor at a little church in the City of Commerce in California. I love what I do. I am also a counselor by day, which is my full-time job. I work a lot with adolescents. I am married to this wonderful God fearing, God loving women. We've been married for about 16 months now. My two wonderful kids live with us, a boy Elijah 17 years old and my daughter Gloria 18 years old. I was married for about 16 years to thier mom but she left God and went back into the world with another man. I am very happy right now with my wife and kids. We have the best relationship a person can ask for. I beleive that a pastor should always be trying to learn more of the bible as they can. We as pastors can learn enough. I am so happy that I found this website where I can learn from the Word and from others. Bless God and bless you who are out there. Pastor George User name: Rev.George
