  1. we have to be a bit candid here. we have to choose one - otherwise why did Jesus in mark 10, tell the young man to sell all he had and give it to the poor and come and follow him? it means there is actually no balance here. the only measure is .... have you given all to the poor???? we see mean tycoons who say "bless my heart" and yet they continue to bleed the poor among them to death. in true stewardship where one works for the good of the other, all should be channeled through the body of Christ to benefit all. if this was done the church would be - a huge all equal employer where all needs would be met equally to all and not as it is now with a rfew good guys giving alms to the poor. HOW MANY OF US CAN, FOR EXAMPLE RELEASE A GOOD WORKER AFTER SIX YEARS WITH ENOUGH TO SET HIM GOING ON HIMSELF????????. WONT WE RATHER HE WORKS MORE FOR US AND KEEP HIM INSTEAD. read between the lines. sorry i`ve hurt a few toes. GOD BLESS YOU. kimathi
  2. What words does he use to describe the action of the gospel in verses 5 and 6? Given the temptation the recipients have to adopt another religious philosophy, why do you think he reminds them of the world scope of the gospel’s influence? good news; word of truth; fruit bearing; growing. So that they themselves grow in their faith love and hope; What happens in our day when a church becomes embarrassed or unimpressed with the gospel message? How does this affect the church? The churh will stagnate ; degenerate and die ;anything that ceases to grow eventually dies.
  3. How did God act as a Shepherd to Jacob? GOD CHOSE HIM IGHT FROM THE BEGAINING AND AND SHOWED HIM FAVOR IN ALL THAT HE WENT THROUGH, LEADING HIM TO FULFIL HIS PURPOSE. How does God act as a Shepherd to you? THOUGH I AM ADAMANT AND IGNORANT AT MOST TIMES GOD HAS GUIDED ME OUT OF DANGER. NOW AS I LOOK ARROUND I FEEL THAT I NEED HIM MORE AND MORE TO GUIDE ME. Do you trust him or rebel against his shepherding?YES I DO I HAVE SEEN HIM BRING GOOD THINGS MY WAY DESPITE THE HARD TIMES I`VE GONE THROUGH.
  4. Why do we equate blessing with a lack of crisis in our lives?. By our earthly eyes we see lack of crisis as blessings - but to me overcomming the crisis is the real total blessing. going through the crisis and seeing the deliverance of GOD as HE walks with you through th shadow of death, lifts up our spirits and the assurance to me is a pillar of faith. if we loose focus on GOD and centre all on our success then crisis and failure will hack into our faith and ultmately destroy our faith in GOD. success too - in the ignorance of GOD can lead us to think too highly of ourselves and push GOD to the side.
  5. Thuogh our lives are not permanent here on this earth, it still continues for eternity in heaven. so here is just as a passage to our destination. If we settle ,we will loose focus of our future and start to think only of now- our future is where GOD has prepared for us. Always remember that jesus promised us a permanent home in heaven mhere we will dwell for ever, we can`t miss this for anything else, lets keep focused on this goal.
  6. THE FEAR WE HAVE IS OF GODS` WRATH TOWARDS SIN. IF WE SIN WE CAN`T ESCAPE THE ANGER OF GOD. THIS FEAR IS EXTINGUISHED BY HIS LOVE FOR US, LOVE THAT IS MADE MANIFEST AT CALVARY - JESUS FACED THE ANGER ON OUR BEHALF. WE SHOULD BOLDLY AWAIT THE JUDGEMENT WITH THE KNOWLEDGE THAT JESUS CHRIST IS OUR LAWYER AND HAS PAID THE PRICE FOR OUR JUSTIFICATION ALREADY. MAY OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST BE PRAISED ALWAYS. AMEN.
  7. We know that GOD hates sin. When we sin our guilt pushes us to hide from GOD. we need to renew ou relationship with GOD troug JESUS CHRIST to be able to enjoy the presence of GOD. As long as the HOLY SPIRIT lives in us, HE will always convict us of the wrongs we do and help us to repent. HOLY SPIRIRT will help us to grow in faith and trust in GOD. He will build us into strong pillars to with stand the temptation to sin. AMEN.
  8. when we hate and refuse to forgive we as christians maymthink we are ok, not knowing that this attitude separrates us from GOD. Our spiritual link with GOD is cut and we slip back to walking in the worldly blindness just like any other worldly man or woman. we know that an unforgiving spirit is of the devil. we are to ask JESUS CHRIST to forgive us of our own unforgiveness and we should regard it as sin. as much as possible we should cloth ourselves with an attitude of forgiving. AMEN.
  9. JESUS CHRIST HAS ALREADY PAID THE PRICE FOR OUR FORGIVENESS - MORE TO THAT HE IS IN CONSTANT PRAYER FOR OUR JUSTIFICATION AND PROTECTION FROM SIN. THOUGH SATAN WUOULD LIKE TO PULL US DOWN BY CONSTANTLY SHOWING UP OUR SINS, WE KNOW THAT WE ARE FORGIVEN AND MADE TO BE SONS OF THE MOST HIGH GOD. THE ULTIMATE GOAL OF EVERY CHRISTIAN IS TO BE LIKE CHRIST I.E. SINNLESS. WE SHOULD ALWAYS FEEL GUILTY EVERY TIME WE SIN BECAUSE THIS IS GOING THE WRONG WAY FROM THE GOAL
