  1. When Jesus was on the Cross He had already suffered so much before He even got to the Cross. There was the blood loss and the beatings that had caused Him to be weakened. I believe that His words "I thirst" was for more than water but for the loss of His Father's being able to look on Him on the Cross. He thirsted for the lost fellowship even if it was only for a short time. Jesus took all this and knew that He was accomplishing something so great for mankind. It wasn't easy for Jesus to go through all this but He knew the end result so He could do what He was doing. Jesus loved us so much and loved His Father so much that He would go through everything He did. The experience on the Cross was so gruesome and so awful that only the Son of God could go through with it and die for us. An ordinary man could never have stood the pain or the suffering that Jesus did. His agony was not only physical but mental and had been planned before time began. The end result of Jesus dying on the cross brought about the saving of many lives and it was for us that He died. No other person ever sacrificed as much as Jesus did.
  2. we need to seek God's forgiveness continually so that we can receive the blessings from God. We cannot live our lives in u our . forgiveness without making ourselves sick. by not forgiving we block what good things he has for us. unforgiveness does not allow us to be forgiven by God for our sins./
  3. it is because we think we can do all things without any help from God, and it is our sin nature in us that causes this. It is because of false thinking Satan has gotten us to believe that we don't need God and many have blinded eyes and blocked up ears for hearing God's word. Sometimes it is our pride and misunderstanding of what God is really about/ Just because God knows our needs already we still need to ask for our daily needs. God has given us the strength and the ability to work and it really is God who does give us our daily needs,
  4. when we pray for kingdom to come we are praying that the Lord will come quickly and return to earth. He is then going to reign forever and ever. we can have heaven down here on earth and we want His will to be done because it is the right way of living and we have a better life then. it is how we know we are right with God then. we should pray what Grahm Cooke calls a crafted prayer. It is asking for God's best and His will that provides the best for us. It is in line with what He has for us and then we experience the peace and the best way of life. how happy we are then
  5. the people had a golden calf built while Moses was up on Mt Sinai. they were giving false gods the glory of getting them out of Egypt. and this wasnt the only thing they had done. they had dishonored God in a major way of not believing in Him or trusting Him. In the Bible they had tested and testd god time and again. Yes, because God is a just and fair God. And He had warned the people over and over. and Moses had interceded for them many times while going through the wilderness. Yes His anger was justified. It still is today when we disobey God's word and His ways Out Father intercedes for us today.
  6. Jesus is giving up his earthly life and his suffering into the loving hands of his Father who will now be able to comfort him and heal his broken body. he Knows where he is going after this and that he has accomplished his mission down here on earth. he also knows that because of his obedience to his father he has saved millions of lives. we know that now we have eternal life with Jesus and our Father above forever . We know He is coming back for us one day. We know that our sins have been dealt with as He died for us that day. and we can feel His love for us everyday and every moment we live/
  7. Jesus's faith was so great that He obeyed His father even to the point of death. His faith gives us the courage to face our trial throughout the time and come out the winner His committment was totally and completey freely given. He knew from the beginning He would have to suffer and He endured all the suffering and the agonizing pain for us. His love for us was so great and so powerful that He took everything He was given for all the suffering. He did this freely and willingly. He knew us even then before we were born, and took on our sins with His great love.
  8. it6 took great faith and courage to accomplish this task that was asked of Jesus at this time. He had to know what the end result was going to be before and it took the greatest faith to go through with it, this shows us that we can make it through the tough trials too. Jesus was totally committed to this task even unto death for us and it shows us that we can be as committed when we follow His example. Jesus' love for us was so great and His love for His father was even greater Yes, Jesus loved us enough to take on our sins even though He was sinless and not guilty of any sins ever in His life. This love is the greatest love we will ever see in our lives
  9. he was at the cross with Mary and he was one of Jesus' favorite diciple. He knew that John would take care of His mother. Jesus loved His mother and was showing her the respect that she had showed him as a child. we nand make need to love and resprct our parents that they are taken care of in their old age
  10. We can face each day with a bright new hope and a knowledge that is with us all the time. We need neiver fear any trial or battle we are going throug as God is on the job asready.Timidity abd brasshness are both false beliefs we have about ourselves. They come from Satan and take away our ability to see God. They stop us from living the vicrorious life we have in Christ. We live in fear and not faith. I don't believe there are any battles that the Lord will not fight for us as Christian. In non belief He can't fight the battles because they are not given over to Him
  11. The rod MOses held was a representitive of God's power and held all the power of God. He was instructed to hold up the rod by God and was told what would happen. and he did. And as long as he held it up the battles was being won by the Israelites. The Lord is our banner over us all the time. He is our protector and mentor and we never have to feel like we are alone in a battle. He has promised us that we would always have Him as our banner. Nothing can get through the banner. He knows what we are going through and when the batttle will come.
  12. Jesus knew that all this was part of the plan for His death. He knew that the course of action had to take place. Jesus knew that there was a plan that had been put into action from the beginning of time. He could not stop what was happening and if He did then we would not be redeemed on the cross. The angels would have come and taken Him down from the cross and tended to His wounds. They would have stopped the course of action that His Father had sent Him down to accomplish this great and final step that He was taking. we would not have been set free and raised in death with Jesus.
  13. Elisha's servant could not see the whole army there to protect without Elisha praying for the opening of his eyes. All he saw was the army against them. the circumstances and not the answer. Elisha had the faith to believe in God and he was able to trust in the Lord. he also was looking at the outcome not the circumstances of the battle. He knew the battle was the Lord's and not his. It takes us believing and seeing God's answers and knowing that He is always there for us. It takes us walking in faith and not disbelief We are in God and the one who is in us is greater than the one who is in the world. That is the force we have behind us and the victory is always ours.
  14. King of Glory means that He is the King of all that exists. He is the Father of Glory. God is and was and always will be all the things that He says He is.The king of glory is the king of all kings,He Lord of all lords, the God of all gods. He is the very reason for the earth's existence and being. If He is our Father then we can call Him Papa and daddy. This God is the One who is above all others. He is our God if we have excepted as Lord and King. I find it really hard to express all I feel about God. As we worship God we should call on Him for everything. and realize that He knows our every need but we always need to remember to thank God for all He has done for us. We need to realize He is with us every moment of the day and night. He hears us as we worship Him in music, prayer , and every daily activity and He knows the sincerity of our worship. He is the ever-increasing God who has unveiled our faces and now reflect God's glory and now being ttransformed into his likeness being transformed into his likeness with the ever-increasing glory that comes from the Lord. He is the spirit.
  15. 16. The High and Lofty one means to me that He is the Most High and mighty God of the world. He knows everything and is in control of all things. The High and Lofty one represents the greatest God in all the world. This is the God that controls all things and the God who loves and creates all things. God is the Mighty one and I am glad that He loves me. It should make me glad to live and to praise the Lord even more. I see the good things and can do all things through this Lord.
  17. What the Most High means to me is that there is none other higher. It is the absolute highest and the most powerful. God is the most high and He is the Most High in my life. I know that without the most high in my life I am nothing without Him and can never be anything without Him. I love the most high and want him im my life for all time. It means that I amdf loved and protected and taught what I need to be taught. I will incorparoate this into my worship by honoring the most high and obeying what He says to obey. I will sing worship songs to Him and recognize who He is in all I do.
  18. this was a known and a criminal who had admitted to his crime. He deserved the death on the cross. He also recognized that Jesus did not deserve to die in that manner. It was his strong and powerful belief that Jesus was who He said He was. Even in death he sought out the Lord. The thief received a life in eternal paradise with Jesus because he believed what he had heard. and he called out to Jesus in the end and was granted his wish . Jesus could see true faith even in His agony He was suffering. I believe that this brought Jesus much happines and He was glad to be recognized as who He was and is. Jesus knew that His message had reached the ones who needed to hear it even in death. He looked at the with love in His eyes.
  19. A slave is someone who chooses to be committed to someone or something. It is his life's goal to work for them, give them his best. and he chooses never to leave that person for any reason. He is a bond servant and slave of his own choosing. A slave is one who fulflills God'a will and God'a purposed for life. He doesn't play at serving God when the notion strikes and doesn't complain about his lot in life. A slave finds joy in doing God's will and genuine love is the key to joy in service. Saints pertains to being dedicated or consecrated to the service of God. we are referred to as bellievers as the "holy ones or consecrated to God and we become holy not perfect or perfected but dedicated, set apart to the service of God. we have become his sacred property and off limits to profane use that is how we are when we become Christians. we are set apart from the world, made holy in His eyes and we are dedicated to doing His good will. we are consecrated and and we have become His sacred property and off limits to profane use. It is a decision that we make because we are loved by God and He has called us into a relationship with Him. He has drawn us closer to Him through gentle love and kindness. We believe that He is the God of the world and we choose not to leave our relationship with Jesus. We need to be wholly and completely consecrated to Jesus.
  20. what it means for me to be "in christ" for me is that I live in Jesus and he lives in me. It means that he helps me in all that I do and that I think, He is with me for all times. He is my guide, my comforter, my life that brings peace and love and harmony. To be in him means that I am never alone and that I have a hope and a reason to go on. He is all I need. i have and will always have Christ with me. I need never be alone again or be afraid of what is happening.
  21. wittnes and testimony is important because it means to comfirm or attest something on the basis of personal knowledge or belief, bear witness, be a witness. and this can be done at the cost of life. sometimes it seems like when testify to loving Jesus we are really persecuted by others. when we don't do what the world does then it calls us strange and we are put aside and pushed out of where we are in their world. It is important that we stay true to Jesus because in the end it is Jesus who matters if He has been pleased not man. Jesus lived His whole life down here on earth as the One and Only true witness of who sent Him. He did it knowing what the end result would be, and He pleased His Father in all He did. We can and should follow His example today. He is with us today and continually encourages us to do the same as He did because He has already told us what our reward is going to be. And we know it to be true. sometimes Satan has been able to get into our thinking process and tell us that we really don't want to be a witness for Jesus because how will people treat us and why would we want to make a fool of ourselves in front of people. It is the fear that man won't accept us or we may lose something that isn't even worth losing in the first place. But when our eyes are on Jesus we can boldly stand and be the witness that He has asked us to be. another reason is that we get discouraged when we don't see change and so we are tempted to give up trying.
  22. the things about our lives that "hallows" the name of our father are our love for Him and for others, our behaviors, our words , our thoughts, and what people see in and who they see. are they seeing Jesus or are they seeing man? If we can't say or do things in front of Jesus then can we do them in front of others? what desecrates and besmirches it? Our wrong words, thoughts and actions and this becomes even more important when you claim to be a christian. because then others don't see a difference from the sinner and don't want to come to know our Father and become His child. we can use The Father's name in the holy and reverencial way that it is intended to be used. to truly lift up the Lord and Father in this attitude and to live our lives as He has taught us to. To be sincere in what we say and to love our FATHER above all things.\ the letter from our Father is totally awesome every one should read it and have it on their wall to read every morning and night.
  23. I think that it was everyone who was responible for killing Jesus that day. But it is important to remember that Jesus allowed Himself to be put on the cross.. He knew what was going to happen and it was in the plans of His Father from the day of His birth. WE bear a lot of responsibility in His death. It was for us in the present day and for all time that we live and the future sins. He loved us so much that He died for us then. and He does love us. Jesus was praying for us even then as He continues to stand in the gap for us in front of His Father. He is our advocate even today. The Cross was our beginning of His life for us.
  24. both men revered God as the MOst High God and honored Him in the highest esteem. they recognized who He was and is and will always be. they shared their love for God and gave us the same chance to do so by sharing it in the Bible so that we can do the same. they were great teachers to follow after.
