  1. The congregation forgets its first love by forgetting why we are attending church. We start and are misguided to think church attendance, singings, meetings, furniture, looks of the church and everything associated is the true meaning of church. We attend church to worship and praise God, to build up our physical bodies which have been drained due to service for God, and when we put I ahead of God things start falling apart. The lack of love for each other and God shows up by not caring for one another, not having time to serve one another and God ( a good indicator that the world is becoming first in your life ), and the lack of serving your local church. To gain this love back, and I can only put it this one way, PUT GOD FIRST IN YOUR LIFE!
  2. Jesus is showing he is in the midst of the seven churches / people and also shows that he is the head of the church. It teaches us that the church should always look to Him for guidance and giving obedience to Him by observing all His commandments. It also teaches us that Jesus is deserving of being the head of the church. He came as a carpenter-teacher but at the end time will come with power and glory where all knees shall bow and every tongue confess - He is Lord
  3. This vision for John shows Jesus as being forceful, all powerful, stong, authortative, in full glory, and last word for the coming events. The emotions that are drawn up are worship, praise, and respect for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who has come back to recieve his people. Our balanced faith comes from not only our faith but our behavior at putting it into action.
  4. We probably could say all countries have persecution to some extent. Some are worse than others and persecution comes in many forms. People can take comfort in the book of Revelation that God will have the last word/action. We look sometimes to not have those bad feelings of persecution by trying to stay out of the fray. Even though that is where we should be. God will see us through.
  5. The significance of these verses indicate that everything through eternity begins and stops with God the Father. The significance of part 2 of the question is that not only is Jesus in complete agreement with God the Father but everything starts and stops with God (Father, Son, and Holy Ghost).
  6. Question 1 deals with the testimony and witness of not only us but Jesus for a troubled world. Because of our strength and power of testimony and witnessing to each other we encourage and strengthen the church and Jesus' example of his journey to the cross and grave and being the first of the resurrection we have hope for the resurrection of ourselves and to eternal life. People hate talking about Jesus' because of embarrassment and use all types of excuses for not doing so. I believe they also feel they will give up some percieved notion or idea of power over themselves in that if I believe in Christ then I will also have to change the way I am living
