Q2. Decoding Symbols
bokchoon replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in #5. The Triumphant Lamb We Worship (Revelation 5)
The lamb itself represents Jesus Christ who die for us on the cross. Standing after being slain indicates the resurrection of Christ who is victorious over death. Horns represent the power of Christ. Eyes represent the Christ see all, know all and nothing can hide from Him. The number seven carries the idea of perfectness of the Christ To summarize, then, the Lamb has the qualities of being of likeness of God who is almighty. -
The blood of the lambs was used to paint on the door post and the top of the door of all the Israelites household to prevent them from angle of death to enter the house to kill the 1st born. LIkewise, all of us today will be spared the eternal death if we have the Jesus's blood to protect us if we believe in Him as the son of God.

Because lambs were commonly used by the Jews for sacrifices to obtain forgiveness for sin.therefore Lamb of God refer to the sacrifices sent by God for the atonment of our sin. The whole world is being sinful due to Adam and Eve start to betray God and all the people of the world not doing the God's way and there if no way of get away of sins only through Jesus Christ who sacrifice on the cross to takeway all our sins so that we can be united again with God.

Q1. Selling the Birthright
bokchoon replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 1. Jacob the Deceiver (Genesis 25:19-34; 27:1-41)
Selling birthright is like throwing away the future in life only to satisfy the current need. Esau was shortsighted in his life and never look forward to his future. We are also same as Esau, always think about near future that we can look for in this world and never look beyond to next life in haven. Jacob was also an impatient person which take life in his own hand and do not want to wait in front of God. He should know that God had prepared the future for him and what he has to do is to follow His path so that he would avoid sufferring in his life. -
