Question 1. a) Reconcile means "to make peach with". Before reconcilliation we were alienated from God.

1).The Church should see it self as having the authority of Jesus to deliver his message according to his will. 2). It is a Universal Church that encompases all local Churches. 3). We should mirror the leadership that Jesus is giving - to all people. 4).The visible Church should allow the head (Jesus),to determine what needs to be done and follow its instructions, "to the word". 5) In my opinion todays Church is not sufficiently "God centered" - It talks the talk, but does not walk the walk.

1) Being first born over all creation means that a person is preeminent over all created things. 2) Jesus was not created he existed before all creation. 3) Verse16-17 tells us that all things were created, by him, for him. 4) In his past Jesus was creater of all things - He now holds everything together.

a) 1) Forgiveness 2)Redemption. 1) Buying back. Making free. 2) Jesus paid for all our sin by shedding his blood for us on the cross. 3) We have been set free from all sin as aresult of Jeusus' death.

a).Paul uses the term darkness and light because the two elements are a total contrast,as is our transformation from being sinners to being committed Christian. .He reminds them of where they come from because people tend to forget how bad things were. Forgetting the past can also lead to making the same mistakes again, returning to their basic sinful nature. c). God accepts us for what we are, and while we may not be saints, Paul lets us know that we are all equal in Gods eyes. d). They are contrasted as being a place of darkness ( where satan dwells) and the kingdom of heaven which is God's kingdom of light and love.
