1. The gospel is bearing fruit and growning. 2. To let the people at Colosse know that it wss not a dying religion but a growing and flourishing one. 3 & 4. If a church becomes embarrased or unimpressed with the gospel - it will die. God has a work and a plan and if we or the church are not part of that plan he will find someone else to use. His church unable or unwilling to do His work will wilt away.
