Paul describes the gospel of truth as the hope laid up for us in heaven in versus 5/6. What kind of news can keep a body of believers forever excited, forever enthused, always expectant and beyond being bored with its routine? It must be Good News that is energized by the Holy Spirit, fresh manna daily from the Master, and loaded with personal revelation and instruction. Paul reminds us that this lively hope of the Good News Gospel is the same around the world no matter the culture, temptations, tests or trials. We are not alone in our sphere of influence. We are in a Kingdom that is at work even now among every people group on earth.
