  1. It means Christ is among us in the churchs as he said he would be.-if we, his people call out to him & seek him, he wille there. We must remain humble. It teaches us that he keeps his promise to be with us ( among us) everywhere & always.
  2. I am free from the secular world of "worry". I am free from being anxious or stressed. I know that God is in control at all times & knows exactly what he is doing. I know that "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me". I know he has a purpose for me & a plan for my life. I also know I am " in " this world, not of it. And if God be for me, who then can be against me? And on a daily basis, handling whatever comes up, I remind myself to " Be still & know that I am God". I use these verses daily to remind myself that I am a child of God & highly favored. I try to suggest to people around me that if they would just turn their lives over to God, & believe in his precious Son, they can have the same peace I have. Especially lately, dealing with my son who is struggling with some difficult times in his life right now.
  3. To unite-- or re-unite. we were far away from God, seperated from him because of our evil thoughts & actions.
  4. This one leaves me confused because where are the verses that say we as Abrahams; descendents are released from the covenant & where are the verses telling me that Baptism is the new sign of the covenant? Baptism signifies that we accept Christ as our Lord & Saviour & we wish to repent & be new creatures in Christ. I do not see the connection between this & the covenant God made with Abraham concerning the land he would possess .
  5. signifies his obedience to God & his willingness to trust & believe what God says. Action from Abraham was important to show God that he understood what was being offered him & what was being required of him. ( Abraham) abraham's immediate obedience once again showed his faith & trust in God & his willingness to do as God required.
  6. To some degree yes, it is a blessing from God in this case. No, wealth does not always reflect his blessing. For some people, wealth can actually be more f a curse than they realize at the time. Poverty des not necessarily always mean a curse either. We have free will & there are lots of poor people who love & follow God. God always has a divine plan for all those who love & obey him- sometimes it is wealth, smetimes it is other blessings much more important than material wealth. And there are a lot of wealthy peple who do not know ( or want to) know God.
  7. According to these verses, no, it is not true. God does punish-- for the purpose f training & helping us grow. He punishes as aur earthly father would-- because he loves us & wants nly the best for us.
  8. It tells us that he is worshiped & worthy of that worship. It also tells us that ( reminds us really) that Jesus is God;s beloved Son- in whom he( God( is well pleased.
  9. No, I do not think that is what the verses mean. I think he is telling us to stand strong/ perserve, firm in our beliefs & faith but he is no saying by doing that, we obtin salvation. Salvation comes through the grace of God & baptism, not just by standing firm in our faith.///// Habitual sin CAN deprive us of heaven, especially when we are saved & know better. We know God will help us overcome the sin, whatever it is & not to ask & receive that help is sin in itself. Habitual sin is like telling God I know it's wrong but I am doing it anyway. If we truly love God, why would we do that? I think the warning of a "hardened heart" would come into play here & that would keep us out of heaven.
  10. He took care & protected him all of Jacob;s life. He watches over me constantly & is always there to lead me when I stray into harm's way. I trust him totally & am learning daily to depend on him more than I ever have. Yes, sometimes I think at the very least, I become stubborn when I hear him telling me one thing & I want ( my flesh) wants, to do something different.
  11. Because Ephraim will be greater & his descendants will be group of nations.
