  1. Q2. (Colossians 1:26-27) What is the mystery that Paul talks about? That salvation has come to the gentiles. In what sense was, "Christ in you, the hope of glory," hidden prior to this? Prior to the time this letter was written, only the Jews had been offered salvation. In what sense is "glory" used here? Glory = being in Heaven. What does "the hope of glory" mean in this context? Christ is the only hope of glory.

  8. Q3. (Colossians 1:12-13) Why does Paul use the terms darkness and light to portray his readers past and future? I believe Paul used the terms darkness and light to describe their past and future because at the time of writing it was a simple way to describe what was going on in the new Christian
  9. Q1. Paul glorifies the gospel, the good news. What words does he use to describe the action of the gospel in verses 5 and 6? Paul mentions that the gospel is bearing fruit and growing. Q1a. Given the temptation the recipients have to adopt another religious philosophy, why do you think he reminds them of the world scope of the gospel
