  1. Q2. (Psalms 42-43). What is the psalmist feeling during this spiritual struggle? The Psalmist is really downcast and mourns and sheds tears of sorrow. How does he combat his spiritual depression? He learns to praise God even in his worst situation. Praising god and looking up to Him. Keeping his focus on God and believing that God would really let this situation pass.. Have you ever felt this way? How did you reach out to God at this time? Yes, I had felt like the psalmist many a time. I sing worship songs which lift and encourage my soul and send praises and supplications up to God. Renew my thinking remove the negative thinking and fill it with positive thinking cause our God is great than any other. He is powerful
  2. Q3. (Psalm 139). In what way does the wonder of creation in the psalm seem to affect the psalmist? In his concluding prayer in verses 23-24, what does he ask God to do? We can't go anywhere - that God can't see, we can't do anything - that God doesn't see, we can't speak something - that escapes the ears of God. He is omnipresent. He is present even when we are being formed and life is taking shape in the womb - every part of our being is intricately woven by Him. The exact distance eye to ear and head to nose etc. The psalmist is asking God to search his heart, remove anything that is imperfect, remove anything that is hindering him in having an intimate fellowship / relationship with Him. When I am in that place of intimacy with my God... I would shun from evil desires.. when my focus is on Him... I can do it in His strength
  3. Q2. (Psalm 19) Verses 1 to 6 seem very different from verses 7 to 13, but there is a common thread that relates the first part to the second part. What is it? In what way does the psalmist seem to bask in God's Word? Have you ever felt that way? How does the psalmist's wonder in creation seem to affect him in this psalm? In the classic prayer of verse 14, what is David asking God to do? Verses 1 to 6 relate to the works of God and vs 7 to 13 to the Words. Do our words and actions match? or are we diametrically different that we cease to be a testimony to other. Our works and words should go together. In vs 14 David is asking God to help him keep a check on his thoughts and words so even unconsciously he would not say something that is unacceptable to God... if God is my redeemer, strength my life... it needs to reflect in my walk and my talk.
