What are the characteristics called for in a truly Christian employee, according to Ephesians 6:5-8 The characteristics called for is to do a good job for your employer because Jesus is our ultimate employer or boss and a Christian is to always do their best. A true Christian is a representative of God and a true Christian will do the right thing no matter if the boss is there or not becasue see God is our boss (leader) and he is always looking. We have a duty to honor, listen to, and care for them that extends beyond childhood. 2. What might be the exceptions? How do respect and forgiveness figure in this relationship? We must always respect our parents; my mother left me in a house alone, she took my little brother and sister and moved away. I was alone and had to work while going to school and I never had things like the other kids because it was only me until my grandmother got a call about it. I did not understand and I don't think that I truly understand today why she left me but I did forgive me after a long time and we did regain our relationship before she left this world. My father was never in my life and has never tried to help me in any way but I do not hold that against him. I pray for him as I did and still do for my mother.
  7. 1. In what sense is Christ our Husband as individuals? As a church? What are the implications of this for our livs? What does this say about Christ's responsibilities towards us? In the sense of presenting the spiritual fact, a Beliver becomes one with Christ as a memeber of His Body, symbolized by the husband-wife relationship. 10. 1. Why should a wife submit to her husband? The reason given for a wife to submit to her husband is because he is the "head of the wife as Christ is of the Church. Ephesian 5:22-24 tells us Wives submit to your husbands is that he is the head of th wife as christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ so also wives should submit to thier husbands in everything. If the husband requires the wife to do something illegal, immoral or which endanger her safety or the safety of the children or something that she is conscience will not work then she is to tell him I'm sorry but I can't in good conscience to that. She must lovingly and submissively correct him when he is wrong. 2. According to these verses, to what degree is a wife required to submit to a husband who is not a Christian or who is a carnal Chrisitan? If God is the ultimate truth, and we are "created to be like God" (4:24), then we too must speak like our Father, and put away forever the double-speak of our former father, the father of lies (John 8:44).
