What happens? They are not true followers. They talk the talk, but they are so focused on their own self that they aren't following the will of Christ in their lives. Just as importantly, people who are seeking Jesus and seeing how these folks are living can get really messed-up messages about Jesus. People avoid repentance because they either believe "I don't need to, I'm just fine," or they don't want to give up control. That would mean admitting they do wrong, and some folks can do no wrong in their own eyes. I'd guess at least 60%.
