  1. There are a few reasons why people fall away, first off they probably never really surrendered their lives to Jesus, I think maybe they like the idea of being a Christian but when they realize what this will entail they give up and think it's to difficult. They like to be in charge of their own lives and don't quite understand the sacrifice it takes. Then Satan will come in and tell them lies about what the world has to offer and because we are inclined toward the world they just fall back into their old lifestyle. I believe if someone is truly repentant(they turn from their sins) they will seek the Lord they won't need someone to hold their hand, sure they might have questions that need answering but for the most part the will seek out the Lord on their own.
  2. People that adopt the Christian faith with out repentance will not have a true relationship with Christ. They will have an unregenerate heart and are basically saying, I don't need to be forgiven thus they do not need a savior. They will probably think they are saved but then they will go on through life being a slave to sin and wonder why they are not a new creature in Christ like the scriptures say. I truly believe there are a lot of Christian with unrepentant hearts, that are being deceived into thinking that they will be saved but, Jesus himself said that; Enter through the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and spacious and broad is the way that leads away to destruction, and many are those who are entering through it. But the gate is narrow (contracted by pressure) and the way is straitened and compressed that leads away to life, and few are those who find it. Beware of false prophets, who come to you dressed as sheep, but inside they are devouring wolves. You will fully recognize them by their fruits. Do people pick grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles?Even so, every healthy (sound) tree bears good fruit worthy of admiration], but the sickly (decaying, worthless) tree bears bad (worthless) fruit. A good (healthy) tree cannot bear bad (worthless) fruit, nor can a bad (diseased) tree bear excellent fruit [worthy of admiration]. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and cast into the fire. Therefore, you will fully know them by their fruits. Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father Who is in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name and driven out demons in Your name and done many mighty works in Your name?
