  1. Hello, My name is Teri and I live in Faith, North Carolina. I am the mother of two wonderful children, Justin 27, and Briana 19. I am married, 21 years, to my husband who is a truck driver. I belong to a small church called Grace Bible Church and I am thirsty to grow closer to God and understand his word. This is my first on-line Bible Study and I am excited and ready to meet new people and grow in God's word.
  2. It is important for us to embrace the truth that "Christ died for the ungodly" because Christ is the only one that can help us to turn sin away, to not give in to worldly ways. By believing in Christ, our sins are forgiven and even though we continue to sin, we are forgiven by Christ's death on the cross. We should do all we can not to sin and ask God's forgiveness when we do. Christ died for us when we were at our worst...complete and total sinners. Knowing that God loves us, even when we mess up, gives us the assurance we need to turn away the devil's lies about us being too bad to be forgiven. We are given a clean slate everyday and we should fight everyday against the evil and sin that continually surrounds us.
  3. We should rejoice in our sufferings and tribulations because they allow us to be strong and persevere, which in-turn gives us character and with character we have hope because of God's eternal love and power. If we truly believe and trust in God, He will bring us through all trials and tribulations. We must stand firm in our faith and rest in Him and we will be victorious.
  4. For Abraham, the relationship between faith and justification was because Abraham believed in God (faith) and lived his life for God, he was justified, or in good standing order with God. For us, it is the same thing, we must believe and trust in God, with our lives, surrender totally to him, and we are then justified or "right" with God. We are living according to God's will. To me, justified means that we are doing what we are supposed to do, living according to God's word. When we live in sin, we are not in God's favor or living according to His will.
