I think its still the fear of not being certain that it is God directing.I just dont want to stuff up Gods plan by following something from my head thinking its God.Jesus suffered brutally at the hands of men for me and I dont want that to have been for nothing but I also dont want to get it wrong and make someone else stumble.Sorry just started off on some other thoughts

I often ask God to confirm that it is he that is directing me to do something, because I dont want to be led astray thinking that God was leading me.Its not the asking for a sign its why we are asking.God knows why we are asking and if it is for our own selfishness and not his glory or someone elses salvation then we need to repent.

Gideon puts out the fleece twice to make sure the Lord is really with him.I think Gideon was believing but wanted God to strengthen his faith for such a job.He was'nt being selfish or trying to seek his own glory but merely making sure that God was really going to perform a mighty miracle before Israel at the hand of little Gideon.

Gods spirit comes apon Gideon that is what inspires him, He knows and feels Gods power clothing him.the spirit of God came upon Othniel and he judged Israel and went to war and God delivered his enimy to them.Ehud blew his trumpet and led Israel to victory from the moabites.

Joash was moving between God and baal not sure who to go with.He new that God wasnt protecting them from the midian and either was baal.What Gideon done to his fathers idol was obedient to God and therefore only the right outcome was going to happen.IT made his father choose and opened his eyes to the real God.

Yes I think there can be a disobediant disciple we are only human we war with the flesh everyday and evil.Paul talks about this war in romans 7:14-25. Gideon had a choice as a human, God has given us free choice but he also gave Gideon a direct order to obey him so we do have a choice but as christians if God gives us direct instructions we shouldnt even contemplate choosing.We made the choice when we gave our lives to Christ.

We are to put God first and our mother and father after that.Gideon was obeying God and also looking out for his fathers spiritual well being wether he knew it at the time or not , further into it his father honours Gideon when he is accused .

God says I am with you .He wants Gideon to go in Gods atrength not his own.Yes, we need to aproach all things in daily living in Gods strength not our own.I can do all things through him who strengthens me.Father I pray that you will show me how to live by your strength and not try to do everything on my own.

MIGHTY MAN OF VALOUR. A HERO FOR ISRAEL.gIDEON SEES HIMSELF AS SMALL, INSIGNIFICANT, SCARED AND WEAK.GODS PERCEPTION.WE SEE WHAT WE HAVE BEEN, WHAT WE ARE, GOD SEES WHAT WE CAN BE BY ALLOWING HIM TO WORK IN US AND TRUSTING HIM.

They worshipped other gods.You shall not serve any other gods .We tend to ask God for help when we are in trouble only.

Gideon blames God for abandoning the Israelites and puting them into the hands of the Midian.He is inacurate in blaming God for this it is Iraels fault for turning from God and disobeying his Word.We often blame God for our troubles because I think we depend on him to fix everything we get ourselves into and when it isnt fixed we blame him.
