I haven't been to church in quite awhile,but the songs that come to mind are Holy,Holy,Holy, Praise ,Honor and Glory and worthy is the Lamb.

How can we combat spiritual apathy and insipid witness in ourselves- we need to really get into God's Word and rely solely on God and Let His Spirit guide us.

The churches were criticized for there lack of faith,sexual immorality,being neither hot or cold and deeds not completed in th sight of God. The churches were praised for their love, faith, service and for not renoucing God. Love faith, service, and getting into the word of God this is a good foundation for the twenty first century church.

It was spiritually destructive because it caused seperation between them and God. I think it holds true in todays workforce[ although not so much now that we are protected with the sexual harrassment law.]as it did back then, mostly women would have to put up with sexual harassment to keep their jobs or get promotions. Nowadays if you try to talk to your coworkers about Jesus and God you are apt to become a social outcast or lose your job.

The loosening of sexual standards would cause seperation between us and God. therefore we couldn't be good witnesses and it wouldn't set a good example to the people we were trying to witness to. Our culture today makes sexual immorality seem so normal that it is easy to get caught up in it.

A local congregation can lose its first love, because of the increased wickedness around us and among us. Obedience to His Word,love for one another and faithful service shows the love of Jesus. The lack of love could cause alot of discord among the congregation. To regain love means to wake up and repent and to incorperate sound doctrine and following the word of God.

When Jesus walked the roads of galilee and judea He was a man. But since His reserrection He is now in His glorified state. The emotions it gives seeing Him in these verses is awe and reverance. This gives us the real picture of who Jesus really is which helps to balance our faith.

Iran,samolia,maldives,bhutan,yemen,vietnam,north korea,saudi arabia,laos and china just to name a few countries that persecute christians today. The book of revelations provides comfort, assurance and courage. It also promises salvation and final victory to true believers.

That God is the same today as He was in the beginning and he'll be the same forever. He is God Almighty. The understanding of who Jesus is from rev. 1:17-18 is that Jesus Is the true Savior and the living God. and as long as I put my trust and faith in Him I do not have to be afraid.
