  1. there is consequences to our sins and God teaches us that through sacrifices and God's holiness requires the atonement for our sins. God's nature is also one of love and loving and through this love he sent His only Son Jesus so we would not have to do animal sacrifices anymore, but we still need to confess our sins and ask for forgiveness. By confessing our sins through Jesus we are allowed to have a more devout and loving relationship with God.
  2. confessing our sins is the basic element for today because of Jesus we recieve forgiveness without having to sacrifice a lamb or doves.
  3. it was a way for God to allow us to be forgiven, but it was not adequate for human sin, but it was a way for people to realize that they had sin and to atone for the sin.
  4. i think it's repulsive in today's world because of animal rights and the sqeemishness of people to blood. I work as and inventory auditor and once a month we inventory the meat dept. and everytime it get's to me and might go a few days without eating red meat. Hence a lot of vegitarians, they just don't like the concept of eating something that has been alive. I do believe alot of it has to do with city life vs farm living. My mother would never eat chickens because of what she'd seen on a chicken farm. I try to think of it as Paul says in the bible about Jesus changed everything when he came, he made it ok to eat anything. He was the ultimate sacrifice.
  5. anger of disobediance is appripriate of parents and bosses so of course our Father in Heaven would be angery, and also sin hurts us so God wants us to learn from our sins and brings about justice. Jesus was sent here so that God would forgive us without having to cont. to sacrifice animals: however he still gets angry of sin.
  6. In the old testiment people would sacrifice the best of their lambs for the forgiveness of sin so when John refers to the Lamb of God you know he is refering to Jesus because Jesus is of God and the purest of all that could be sacrificed for our sins. Sins of the world is sins of everyone and all world sins.
