  1. Q4. Why is repentance so central to the Kingdom of God? Why is baptism important to converts to the King? Can Christ reign in an unrepentant heart? The kingdom of God is holy and pure, we are living in a sinful world, if repentance is not the central Kingdom of god then, how come our 1st parents were separated from God? It was because of their sinful and rebellious act by disobeying God in the Garden of Eden by eating the forbidden fruit which from that point on, we had inherited that rebellious and sinful nature, the entire theme of the bible and mankind is that we must repent of our sins, and the need for salvation in Christ with his blood and the cross, so God can complete his purpose for our lives, and by repenting and by trust and faith in his son Jesus our lord and Savior, we can live the life God had called/intended us to live, and so once again established that kingdom of God again like it originally was made before the fall of Adam and Eve. Since Jesus the king was baptisted by John the baptist, we should also practice this act to complete that purpose that we had discussed with the other questions, since we acknowledged that baptism as a form of conversion from being unsaved to being saved in christ. Christ is holy, pure and perfect just like our father God, the son can only do what the father does, the answer is no, he can not since it is not his nature to sin and unrepentant heart is sin, and it is not the heart and mind and spirit of God the Father and God the Son - Christ.
  2. Q3. (Matthew 3:11) What is the point of comparison between John's action and the Messiah's action? What is the point of difference? Do you really long to be overwhelmed by the Holy Spirit? What might prevent this in your life? What might encourage it? The point of comparison between John the Baptist and the Messiah is the act of immersing or overwhelming. But the medium in which or with which the baptism takes place differs. John immerses his disciples in water, while the Messiah will immerse his followers in the Holy Spirit. This means that John the Baptist baptize with Water and the Messiah baptize with the Holy spirit which means The "baptism of the Holy Spirit" involves being covered with, immersed in, and empowered by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the very basis of our life in Christ and our connection to God. Jesus floods us with the Holy Spirit. What a wonderful thought and promise!12 We need to experience the holy spirit so we can live a life that is full and complete, and only Jesus can give us that kind of life, John is only leading us to completing this process, but Jesus completes it. Satan/Devil may try to steal it from us by persecutingus, lying to us, and deceiving us, but Jesus had already won the battle, so we are safe in him, their is nothing that Satan can do to take it from us. Since the blood of christ that is witness by God the father is enough to pay our penalty and forgiveness of all our sins past, present and future, and the cross is acknowledgement of that truth and his job is complete.
  3. Q1. What happens when people adopt the Christian faith without repenting of their known sins? Why do people avoid repentance? What percentage of Christians today do you think are unrepentant, unprepared in heart? http://www.joyfulheart.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=993 The road to true repentance of our sins is a process that takes hard work, but god has given us the holy spirit to condemn us when we do sin, we have this human nature which we called the flesh. I had became a christian for some time, and at times, I easily get persuaded by the Devil/Satan to do things that is displeasing to the Lord. Every sin is equal in weight in his eyes, and if we truly repent of our sins, he is just and faithful and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. But if we continue to sin, we will have to examine our hearts again, and allow him to change our heart so we will despise sin like God would. We adopt the Christian faith, but we not perfect, we still fall time to time, but God still loves the sinner, but he hates the sin. We will have to put our faith and trust in the lord to deliver us since we still inherit the sin from our 1st parents Adam and Eve. I understand why people avoid repentance because of pride, and because people don't want to give up lustful pleasures that had been their habit or addiction for so long, and it is just too hard to give up or they are too lazy to practice living a righteous life since living a wicked or evil life is so easy and accessible, this is my opinion on why people avoid repentance, they are just unwilling to accept discipline and hate to have some unseen force to take control of their lives. The question on what percentage of Christians today do I think are unrepentant, unprepared in heart. It is hard to determine the percentage, but I know that their are a lot of people in this world that are not saved yet, since I know by my personal experience with this world, and what people choose to do with their lives in action. I see gamblers, drug addicts, and sex addicts and murderers and corrupt people all over the place in the media, on the news, and so on and so forth. I know the percentage must be high, so our job is to share the good news as christians since we are suppose to be disciples for Christ.
