  1. I would have to say that I tend to discriminate against child molesters. Well, child abusers altogether. Yet, I believe I am more repulsive towards child molester. I find myself wanting molesters to suffer pain that is unfathomable, or for the Lord to just take them away. But, the truth is that even though the world has attempted to put crime or certain sin in categories based on what man sees to be the least and the greatest, the Lord God doesn't favor one more than the other. He is disgusted by them all. A little white lie will get you into hell just as any act of a child abuser. The good thing about that is that to whomever we see to be the worse type of people, based on their sin, they have to only take the same steps to receive salvation. Total deliverance, total forgiveness, total freedom from damnation. If there were two individuals asking that we obey two different commandments and we do obey one and not the other that would be different. We would atleast get props for the one we obeyed. But there is only ONE God, and He only sees sin as sin. Wrong is wrong and as my Bishop says "There is no right way to do wrong".The Lord is so righteous that there is no way that He can be attached to any sin. And I know unquestionably that his love is unconditionalbe. Kissing up to him (obeying, praising, worshipping, being filled with faith, doing ALL things right, with perfection) will not cause Him to love you any more than He already does. He may be moved to being about great blessings, yes. But His love is what it is. LOL!!! It is what it was over 2000 years ago. The end. LOL! Now, as of the kind of people my church and I are trying to make a good impression on, I would have to say we are trying to show Christ to sinners. We all should keep our eyes on Christ and not try to show ourselves to be so great. The Lord Jesus' interst was to draw men back to God. Being that the Lord is mindful of us, we know that we are his number one priority. Therefore, the body of Christ is to build one another up and go forth drawing sinners to the Lord. He will impress them.
  2. Colossians 4:6 states "Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man." Jesus walked this earth ministering to every man's need. Whereas, we may think we need one thing, Jesus knows the need of all men and he ministered to every man's need. To the rich man that wanted eternal life and yet had put his riches before the Lord God (Matt. 19:24, Mark 10:25, Luke 18:25), Christ showed him that there was and is only one true God and He would have no other gods before him. The rich man needed to be ministered to concerning this. To the sick alike, Jesus would minister healing to them in such a way that they accepted their healing by faith. He knew just what to say to encourage individuals and large crowds alike in order to minister to their need. Oh, how wonderful it would be to know just what to say to every individual to draw them to Christ. The lame man in Acts 3 at the gate called Beautiful asked of Peter and John to give him alms and yet, Peter saw that his need was to be healed and that, he gave. I believe that if we can minister or address believers and unbelievers alike, whether they are fornicators, rapest, murderers, etc. saying the right things, rebuking the right way, at the right time, for the right reasons that Christ can come in and what needs to be done will be done. Being that with our tongue we can bring about death we need wisdom, "Lol" and not mans wisdom, but wisdom that is of God. With it we can use that same tongue and bring about life. Christ says in John 3:17, "For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.". Jesus ministered to draw men to him, to repentance, "...lest his deeds should be reproved.".(John 3:20). Now, being that man has a tendency of pointing the finger at one another and whiping one another with our words, our approach must be in love. We will show forth that love when helping others, simply because we can; not to receive praise from man or other hidden motives. Just love. You can't really trust someone that says one thing and do another, which to me is what James is saying. Some say Christ live in them and yet Christ is no where to be seen. "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."(Matthew 5:16). This is "Pure Religion", putting on the Lord Jesus Christ.
  3. I would say that we are so easily fooled to believing that by listening to the Bible, or reading the Bible as if we have done good and that that is enough. It's as if to say that even though I haven't demostrated any ability to perform a surgical preceedure and yet have a license to do so, that I am an exellent surgeon.I must SHOW what I have learned, SHOW my work before being classified as such. We too must show what we have learned, live the Word. What we do describes what we believe. We must breath the Word, you know?... Inhale and Exhale. Breath in the Word, "Inhale", and breath out the Word, "Exhale". Breathing in the Word is to consume it, take it in for ourselves. To breath out the Word is to show-forth the Word which brings about life. The Word of God must be lived through believers. In doing so, the Word of God will bring about life through the believers. It will bring about change. It will not be in vain for us to live our lives according to the Word of God. Isaiah 55:11 states, "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." This is valid being that He(the Lord)speaks through us. Thy kingdom come, Oh Lord. "...as he is, so are we be in this world." (kjv, 1John 4:17). Believing we can achieve righteousness by knowledge of the Word, we deceive ourselves.
  4. We are given spiritual birth by the word of truth in the sense that we are born again by faith in the word of God. Spiritual life has everything to do with the word of God. We grow spiritually by feasting off of the word of God. It is by faith in the word that we overcome the enemy, and that we are strengthen during trials and tribulations. And how do we obtain faith, by hearing the word.(KJV, Romans10:17). After his fourty day fast, Jesus defeated satan by the word of God,(Matt.4:1-11). St. John 17:17 states, "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth." Therefore are we sanctified by the word of God. Believers are to do just that, believe the word of God (have faith in the word of God). And if we believe as James says, we will show it by the works that we do, being not hearers only but doers of the word of God.(James 1:22).
  5. I have to admit it took me awhile to realize that the Lord was still with me through all of life trials. I used to feel as if I did or was doing something wrong at times. But of course I was sadly mistaken. I've learned that the Lord's love for me never changed. The love He had for me when I was a sinner was enough. But when I saw and understood what Christ prayed to the Father on my behalf which was that the Father would love me even as He loves Christ, my whole perpective on life trials changed. I then knew that there must be another reason that certain things came my way. One may be because I can overcome the situation, or that I can pass the test. Another may be to strengthen me in an area where I was weak. Another may be so I can see that I need Him, in case I've gotten big-headed and started leaning on my own understanding. Truth is, I am and can do NOthing without the Lord. And at times I still do get case-hardend when trials come my way. Yet, this I am constantly reminded of, the Lord is relentlessly before God the Father on my behalf. God the Father wants the best for us. Therefore, I must step back and evaluate the cause, if possible. I have found that sometimes I had been the reason for some of life trials.
