  1. 1John 1:9 (If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.) is a perfect example of why we have to continually ask for forgiveness and repent of our sins. When when ask God to forgive us of our sins, then the Lord can forgive us and cleanse us of ALL unrighteousness. And it also goes to when we forgive those around us. How can we as Christians not forgive the people in our lives when we serve the God of love who forgives us of our sins through Jesus Christ? Matt 6:14-15 tells us "14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Thank you
  2. That is just it, we do nothing for ourselves or by ourselves. It is by God's Grace that we even get up in the morning, so it makes perfect sense to ask God for our daily bread because without Him we would have nothing!
  3. It teaches us that God in all His majesty still finds it in His heart to care for lowly man. That we as humans pale besides the greatness of all that God has created. That Christ, being God the Son, give His life that we can come back into relationship with our Father. That even though Adam messed up when he was in the garden, we still have to be responsible for all that God blessed us with here on earth. [/font]
