  1. God answered Gideon by telling him that he would be with him. This principle applies to our everyday lives..God does let us know he is with us, we just have make sure we pay attention and hear it... Luke 11:28 Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it. PRAYER: Lord please give me the strength and wisdom to be the person you want me to be. Amen
  2. God saw Gideon as a warrior and Gideon saw himself as someone weak. Of course God's perception is more accurate, because few people see themselves as they truely are. We tend to let ourselves be pigeon-holed into a roll..To be what others perceive us to be rather than what we were meant to be. Perhaps it is easier to play that roll than it is to put ourselves out there unsure of how people will react to us...
  3. They disobeyed and worshipped other "Gods"....they didn't trust in God.. We need to put God first no matter what, Bad or Good..remember who to lean on and who to thank...
  4. I think Gideon blamed God not just because he thought God abandoned him amd his people but because it was easier to blame God than to realize it was his own people's fault. I think in a sense he was right in his thinking, since God handed them over to the Midianites..but he didn't understand it was for them to learn. Sort of the whole "tough love" senerio... I think we tend to blame God because it's easy to. How to not blame God...I don't know how I can tell anyone not to blame God for things..but in my own life I just have to remember that God loves me and wouldn't ever hurt me in anyway..
