  1. 1.when we are full of hate and bitterness, how do we manage to see thru the dark feelings to the light of God. We have our minds busy with hatred and revenge and forget to praise our Lord. 2.Only God can release us from these feelings and allow us to forgive and forget and get on with our life. God is so good.
  2. 1.Continually study Jesus life so I have His example before me. Remind myself that God loves everyone just as much as He loves me, and He is the only one to judge, not us humans. Always remember that the only way to heaven is thru Jesus. Belief in His death, and resurection. His standing in for me so my sins are forgiven. I can't get to heaven by doing good deeds, no matter what the deed might cost me. 2.Love is feeling, from the heart. Legalism is more from the mind, trying to reason out what God gives freely. Trying to manipulate or earn your way to heaven. 3. I must feel love and recognize Gods greatness to want to be obedient to God. As I grow in my love for God, I will try to see God in others, and then learn to love them.
  3. 1. We have someone who has died for us, who will speak in our defense when we sin. 2. We are all sinners. It is a comfort to know that we are loved so much that our sins can be forgiven 3. We don't want to anger God or disappoint our savior. It is a shame to us to have to confess our sins. Humbles us hurts Jesus and us, and we don't want to sin anymore.
  4. 1 Being honest with God and myself, no excuses, no blaming others, just telling God about my sins. 2.So we can be forgiven. We are made humble, aware of just how deep in sin we are and how wonderful our God is that He can love us and forgive us. 3 We are turning our backs on the greatest gift ever given, forgiveness. We just drift away from God, and sin, rather than being something to avoid, becomes more "acceptable",or commonplace to us. 4 He will forgive us our sins and purify us. 5 Forgiveness of sins comes with confession and asking for forgiveness. Purification, cleansing, is a more gradual thing that happens as God helps us change from the inside, not wanting to sin anymore, avoiding areas of life where we are most likely to sin.
  5. 1. You are not a true beiever, you can't willfully sin and believe Jesus died and arose for us. 2. You begin to make excuses, rationalize your sins, put the blame on others...."everyboy does that" 3. We see ourselves as others do, as a sinner. We know that we need Jesus, the light, to show us how to relate to each other 4. When we recognize our sinfulness, repent honestly and pray for forgiveness, we acknowledge that Jesus has died for our sins, enabling us to return to His light.
  6. This is 3 questions, and I answered them each. 1. I seek others approval and admiration, but if I compare my life with Jesus, I am humbled, more able to see myself honestly. 2. Remember Jesus loves us all equally, He died for each of us, and if I can remember this, maybe I can see others thru Jesus eyes. Praying togeather helps 3.Quit talking, start listening and wait for the Holy Spirit to speak thru us, not about ourselves, but about Jesus. I don't have a lot of answers or really great advice, but God does
