  1. The manna was provided to give the people something to eat. God could have just caused the people not to be hungry but He did not work that way. We are suppose to work to eat. The people had to get out in the morning and pick up just enough manna for the day. It is suppose to be if we don't work we don't eat. The manna ended when the people got to go into the promise land and could find the abundant food there. We always take for granted what is there all the time. If we have good health we take it for granted, if we have a good roof over our heads, we take it for granted, and so on. We need to learn to thank God for every little thing we have and to not take anything for granted. Everything that I have regularly. Pray for me that I will stop taking every day things for granted.
  2. Sometimes we never know why we go thru things. It could be that the way you handle could be your witness for Christ. Someone could be watching you to see how you are handling it. It could even be the person who did it.
  3. The leader is God's choice. When people are grumbling against the leader they are grumbling against the person GOD chosen. I started to say yes, that if the person is not really chosen by God. Sometimes people will take a position in the church just abcause they were ask to take it. God will still use that person to His purpose. Some leaders take everything personally they forget they are doing God's work and take everything to heart, good or bad. They don't or don't want to let God take the grumbling or praise. For God to remind them.
  4. Either they do not want to do what they are having to do or they think someone else should be doing it. Grumbleing and complaining shows a lack of faith. When I find myself grumbling or complaining about something I try to stop and think how I can make it better because G&C do nothing to solve the problem. Pray about it.
  5. Why do we tend to fight out battles "in the flesh" rather than using spiritual weapons? I don't think at first we realize we are in a battle, then when we do we are already using the flesh. By that time we don't think God can help. When we realize He can we are in so deep we have nothing left but to turn it over to Him. Why do we so often mistake the human enemy for the spiritual enemy? If we are in the spiritual frame of mind we tend to think everything is spiritual. Whether it be God or devil. I know the devil is behind all sin and temptation so we go with the thinking that every enemy is spiritual. When will God fight our battles--and when won't He? I think God will always fight our battles, He lets us go either until we ask for help or He sees that we are stuck and can go no futher on our own.
  6. Moses did not accept the comprise because he was listening to God and God did not tell him to accept it. You know the saying pick your battles. In a church you let comprise take place in small things, but if it is something that goes against God you hold firm and no comprise should be taken.
  7. Some people just do not like confrontation. It is hard to take a matter to people because you do not know how they are going to react. In the case of a preacher it could be a cause for the church to vote him out. Sometimes though it can solve problems that some people did not know exist. If we don't confront when we should then the thing most of the time just grows. Sometimes it might just go away that is very seldom the case.
  8. Moses blamed God for his troubles because God sent him to Pharaoh. I think Moses and AAron were neither scared nor was it unbelief. They just plain did not listen to God. He told them they would be refused but that part went over their heads. We are all stuborn. God just had to rearange their way of thinking.
  9. We get angry with our children when they do what Moses was doing. Why should God not get angry. God did have patience with Moses though. I think Moses basic sin was fear. He had been without God in his life for a very long time we know at least 40 years and possible 60 or 70 years. He probly had forgotten what it was like to be around the God of His People. I am sure God has been angry with me because I have not always been the christian I should have been. I regret that. Moses appeased God when he went back to Egypt and met with his brother Aaron.
  10. Moses was living in a country that did not worship the one true God. I don't think that Moses really thought that much about the God of his fathers during this time. God reassures him thru the burning bush that does not burn up, is not consumed. God does reassure us if we listen to Him.
  11. even though Moses has be raised as a Egytpian he still sees himself as a Hebrew (through his mothers teaching. He did not like seeing a slave beaten, I don't know if he would have done the same thing if it was not a Hebrew slave that was being beaten. I would like to think he would have. I beleave he would have been strong, he was probly being trained as a soldier or officer.
