  1. The church is His bride and He still walks the church, supervising and empowering the church. This teaches us that the church belong to Christ and he is not departed from the church spiritually, He left the Holy spirit to empower, teach, instruct and direct the church. It teaches us that Christ loves the church and cares for it.
  2. This is different because they are two different scenarios. One is showing an earthly man in the midst of unbelieving people with so much persecution; trying to teach and reveal the truth through the word and his life of humilty. While the other revealed a glorified Christ, the son of God in His majesty. This vision is meant to evoke the feeling that Christ is King, with heavenly kingdom yet He descended so low to save man. The understanding of Jesus is important to a balanced faith because it encourages us to stand firm and to understand the degree of humility required for the Christian faith.
  3. Christians are facing persecution in the Middle East countries like Iraq, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia etc; Sudan and Libya in Africa. The book of revelation can be a comfort and a source of encouragement to the people of these countries because it reveals the glory of the end.
  4. Rev. 1:8 tell us that God is eternal and is the Almighty. This is significant to the understanding of whom Jesus is because it revealed to us that Jesus also is God, thereby support the believe on trinity and God heads.
  5. The theme of testimony and witness is so important to encourage and strengthen a church facing persecution because it brings a clear picture of what the end will be. This theme makes it more understandable that persecution will finally come to an end. It also depict the fact that Christ is alive and waiting for the time to come when all the faithful servants will join him in heaven. It also encourages the church by bringing out the fact that God himself gave the revelation to Jesus Christ and the angel bare witness to this testimony. Jesus as the faithful servant has passed through all manner of persecution even unto the cross at calvary and became the first begotten of the dead. He is a proof to us that we can make it just the way he did We are afraid because we have not understood the glory of the end of days.
