  1. The introduction of God as Abba and Father by Jesus shows how intimate we can be with God and we can enjoy His love, be made whole spiritually and emotionally this is different from the Jews understanding of God as Father because it is not a way of addressing God in Ancient Judaism. This makes me to know I can have intimate relationship with Him, He loves me and cares for me and through my relationship with Him as Abba Father He can shower me with His Love and make me what I should be.
  2. The concept teaches us that God is our Creator, Maker, Porter, Rock, Savior, Redeemer, Comforter , Restorer, Shepherd. According to Otfield Hofius quote the two aspects are those that describe the father as a ruler who has all authority over is household and to whom most respect is due and the other one is that of responsibility to his family. We should look at God as our Creator who love us and has given us life without whom we will not be alive today, who knows what is best for us, cares and is capable of supplying all our needs.
  3. Hi Sister, I think you are in the right forum & am sure the Lord will reveal Himself to you to be a blessing to others
  4. Water is the basic element of our life without which we cannot live the same way God is the basic of our life whom alone we should rely on. The spring of water is ever flowing, fresh and satisfying so also is the blessings of God it never runs dry, it is fresh and satisfying About my thirst, it means I should make Him the most essential basic of my life without whom I cannot live. I should rely on Him and long to have Him. I need to say this I think have the zeal but I feel I am lazy towards the word of God. May God forgive and help me because I really need His strength to keep me awake while studying His word. God is the sure source or basic for my life from my beginning and years to come Amen
  5. Before I used to think I should not bother Him with every little thing. Knowledge really is important and the application of what we learn is much more important sometimes we know God is our Helper and Shepherd yet choose do do things on our own and later call Him for help when things don't work out, sometimes forgetfulness. God help me. We should love God take Him as our priority, trust and rely on Him and call on Him all the time for help as our Helper and Shepherd.
  6. I remember daily that God has always been my Shepherd even from my mother's womb without Him as my Shepherd I will not be living today. He loves, leads, guide, guard, defends, provide, restore me etc. To God my shepherd be the glory. As a matter of fact I need Him daily as my Shepherd in all areas of my life because I cannot do without Him - my spiritual life - sometimes fear and doubt especially to witness Him. I really need discerning spirit and increased faith. My marriage, my family, job but I know He is able
  7. Abraham's words I believe are prophetic. Abraham was actually going to simply obey God to sacrifice Isaac just as he was asked to do by God. He wouldn't have told his promised son Isaac that he, Isaac was the sacrificial lamb. But according to Heb. 11: 17-19 Abraham was expecting miracle to happen even if he obeyed God by killing Isaac because he believed the assurance of Gods word that 'it is through Isaac his offspring will be recognized', he went ahead in his love for God and obedience to God's commands to go ahead and sacrifice his only son trusting God for a miracle that God who gave him the boy even at old age could raise the boy from dead I have received last minute provision from God several times, on my job, health, financial etc and we should expect God to supply our needs in all circumstance It is our needs He will not supply what we do not need. We need to know, love, trust and obey Him
  8. Because death which is the last enemy needs to be destroyed and resurrection is the sign of victory over death and glorification with Christ. We really need to reign with Him so we need a resurrected body to be able to reign with Him- navigate the new heaven and the new earth. What most Christians think about when resurrection is mentioned is going to heaven after death and not the raising of our physical body after death. I think every Christian should be taught about looking forward to the expectation and hope of the events of resurrection for the truth to be established.

  10. Our resurrected body will be like Jesus' glorious body that was able to relate with the physical world like a normal physical body and at the same time navigate with the heaven. There is going to be a new heaven and a new earth. We are going to reign on earth and for us to be able to navigate the heaven and the earth we will be given a resurrected body
  11. The redemption of our bodies at resurrection is the changing of our corruptible body to incorruptible which gives us express adoption as sons of God as we cannot be in his presence with our corruptible body. Our resurrected body will operate just like Jesus' body was able to operate in the spiritual and physical' Imperishable, glory, power, spiritual
  12. AT home with the Lord as they will be ushered into the presence of God We await resurrection in heaven. Rev 20:11-12
  13. The word used in the Bible is resurrection Christ will appear in the heaven, the Angels trumpet will sound calling all Gods people, All will be gathered together both dead and living - the dead raised imperishable and the living giving a changed body, All will appear before God's judgement throne being judged according to what they have done. The saints will enter into His Glory.
  14. He takes care of us every time watching over us and our surroundings day and night never sleep nor slumber. He sets His angels guard over us to watch us day and night, our going out and coming in- all our activities. Not to misstep walking into evil, even when trouble comes, He would not allow it to affect us- not allowing the sun to smite us by day nor the moon by night not allowing the evil ones to touch in our sleep at night. He is the Commander of the guarding angels
  15. He saves, great, strong, upright, rescues, He is our hiding place, in him we could trust any day for He will forever be our Rock- He stands forever. In Palestine I think is where the people can run to for hiding, The rock shades/shield the people during siege.
  16. God is a shield in the sense that He defend us from numerous attacks of the enemies God is our glory in the sense that He is the only one we could call upon and answer us in time of trouble He is the only one who is worthy to be called our protector He is the only one we could boast in His radiance is imparted on me, He is seen all over me God is the lifter up of my head in that When it seem that I am weak and tired, He lifts my head and renew my strength. Back me up with His Angels. This teaches that God alone is my protector and He is capable of protecting me from whatever trouble as a shield, shelter, guardian, deliverer, savior, strength, glory, lifter up of my head etc It teaches that I cannot protect myself, I can have, trust and rely on God alone for whatever protection I need I may grow and tired in trouble but God will lift my head and renew my strength
  17. The protected one is required to dwell in the shelter of Yahweh who is the Most High, abide under the shadow of the Almighty make the Almighty God his refuge and fortress Dwell in God Almighty for nothing evil can touch us in Him Put absolute trust in God that He is able to protect him in whatever way. Shelter, shadow, Refuge, fortress, rescuer, cover, faithful, shield, rampart, dwelling, commander of guardian angels, abides with us, answer to our calls in time of trouble, deliverer, satisfier with long life, savior
  18. When we are steadfast and immovable we remain focused in Christ even in the face of whatever horrendous challenges, though the work may be burdensome we should continue in it for it is not in vain. The work of Ministry is His command for us we should not see it as our own work and since it is His work He will give us the strength to do it and definitely He is the Lord of the Harvest nothing that we do for Him is in vain.
  19. In that Baptism is the replica of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. When immersed in water at baptism it indicates our death and burial with Jesus our old sinful way dead and buried and when we come out of water this indicates our rising, coming alive with Him. Being raised with Christ impart real spiritual power in us in the sense that when we rise with Christ we no longer live our own life but Christ's as it is the spirit and the power of God that leads us in all we do. We now live an entire new life in Christ.
  20. His resurrection is the conclusion of His work of our salvation by which we receive forgiveness and deliverance from our sins and therefore bringing us who were lost back to God. If we don't believe His resurrection then we call God a liar and cannot receive forgiveness so we can approach God. 1 COR.5:17-18
  21. There would have been none. It would have been totally meaningless as the word of God would have been said to be untrue - no one would believe the Bible or any of His predictions. All Christian hope of salvation would still be in the grave if he never resurrected and we would all still remain dead carrying our sins. Jesus' resurrection is God's seal of approval of Him in the sense that if Jesus had not risen then He is not the Jesus Christ the son of God whom the Bible preaches. His death and resurrection reconcile us to God. Amen
  22. When we confess Jesus is Lord we are saying that He is now our Master, Lord, owner, ruler, we are subject to Him ready to follow, listen to and obey Him. This is necessary for our salvation because the life we live is about Jesus Christ. We confess with our mouth whatever we believe in our heart, for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh This simple confession is what is required from us to be saved for by it we are dropping all other things for Him asking Him to come and lord over our life
  23. To governments it imply that God Himself is their King but they are only ruling on God's behalf over His people, they are subject to God's reign, as there is no authority established except by Him; they should seek God and rule with the power and mind of God, rule with justice and righteousness It takes God for anyone in authority to rule successfully. Any nation that removes God from the nations currency and pledges and ardently secularizing national life obviously imply that God should remove His hands from the affairs of that nation and giving devil and his demons called gods express invitation to rule over them. Such country has no divine covering as such are prone to numerous attack. I wonder what will happen to such nation when evil day comes for it will come anyway. Disastrous eh h!!!. May we not use our hands to remove God from the affairs of our lives and may God continually reign in our lives. Amen
  24. The personal implications of Yahweh being my King and Jesus being the Messiah sent from God is that I am His subject and need to totally submit to His will for my life. I don't really have a life of my own but that the life I now live is by faith in Him. He is in charge of my life. To be able to submit to His will I really need to know about Him and what He require from me and with the help of the Holy Spirit will be able to do them. To submit to the King on an everyday basis means to ask Him daily to come and rule over my life, consult Him daily, listen to what He says and with the help of the Holy Spirit obey. When we don,t seek God to know who He is and what He want from us and do them, then we are telling Him we are in charge of our lives which is impossible as He created us and knows what we are and will be.
