I think past sins and mistakes tend to have a place in people; you want to do something God has commanded but you are a string of doubt is holding you back. If we pray earnestly for God to take away that fear; we are assured he will and all will be well. Courage is required by God's anointed so that they can encourage the same to the people they are leading and make them see how simple it is to honour and obey without fear.
