  1. Oh, I forgot to mention that I am always reminded of the refinement that God has for me as I remember James 1:2-3, as well as Romans 5:1-5. I don't believe all trials are resultant of sin or even anything that we have done ourselves. I mean, look at Job. I believe how we come out of those trials is almost more important than the trials themselves.
  2. Something I've observed about the Bible, Scriptures, Word of God is that there is marked division in many different situations. We simply cannot do a little of God's way and a little of Man's way and expect everything to come out "right". To me, to do so develops double-mindedness and unnecessary trials. When you go through trials, where do you turn for solutions? From personal experience, my way leads to more trials. When I humbly come before God with a heart that is ready to hear and obey, I come from those trials completely renewed and stronger in my relationship with my Lord and a happier person. The Lord chastises those he loves.....boy, does he LOVE me!! LOL! Seriously, God wants me out of those trials even more than I do, I just know it as his mercy is so evident during my tribulations.
  3. I believe that the Scriptures cover every single aspect of human life. Our human wisdom is limited to our experience, "knowledge", "logic" and heresay from people with the most incredible fore-hindsight. God holds the key to true wisdom, which is more precious than rubies and choice gold. Plain and simple. Godly wisdom is free to the humble; it's available to all MEN (mankind). Faith is when you turn off your sense of self and submit COMPLETELY into God's hands. It's so amazing what can be accomplished when you are completely in the mercy of God's loving hands. Praise God when I am smart enough to let him do the driving of my life.
  4. Hi! I'm Estelle. I've very excited to be participating in this study about James, a very very practical book that can improve our human relationships. This, and of course other Scriptures, is as close to "self help" as I'd like to get! Of course I've gleaned a great deal from reading James at other times, but I'm very interested in STUDYING the book and look forward to your teaching.
  5. Hi All! I'm Estelle from TX. I am looking forward to this study in James, a very deep book that will help us grow in wisdom and conduct as a Christian. Thank you for setting up this study.
