Q4: (a) The significance of Abraham "calling on the name of Yahweh", assures us that Abraham knew as a believer who the one and only true God was/is. Abraham knew who brought him this far and to go on he still needed to turn to God for help, even though the religion around him was different. Also Abraham did not forget to Thank God and give God all the Praise and Glory for where he had been and where he is going. A great example to us, Abraham's descendents---always stop and take time for God in all of our situations. ( For me to "call on the name of the Lord" means I can do nothing without God. I need to recognize who God is whenever and wherever I am, no matter what others might think.

Q3: (a) I do not know if it is special faith or what I would call a staunch faith to be obedient to God when we do not know how it will turn out. I believe if we have real faith we will not be, "like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind (James 1:6b), we will be obedient to God and not look back like Lot's wife did. If we do not have this real faith with our eyes on Jesus at all times, we will not be obedient to God because of fear (False Evidence Appearing Real) ( Yes, I have had "opportunities" to obey God, not knowing what the future holds. Have I always obeyed? No! why? Because of fear. © Yes, I think I am in the midst of an adventure now and it calls to leave family & friends like Abraham had to do when he left his ancestors way of worship. Well I obey? I pray that my eyes will be upon Jesus and I will let the Holy Spirit lead me.

Answer to Q2: (a) Abraham was blessed in many ways: (1) The Lord spoke to him (Genesis12:1) and the Lord appeared to him (12:7); (2) Abraham was called by God from a religion of moon worship (polytheists) to a monotheist (worshiper of one God); (3) Abraham's faith grew as God revealed himself; (4) He had promises from God that were personal (wealth; his name had become truly famous among monotheistic religions; a blessing to others); (5) He had promises from God to be a great nation; he is an inspiration to millions of people. ( All the people of the earth has been blessed through Abraham's descendant Jesus Christ, our Messiah who gave the free gift of Salvation to all who believe. Eternal Life! © Abraham continues to bless people through my life by giving me the example of faith. Also how to respond to God's call. With this example I can carry on the work Abraham was called to do by passing the Good News of the Gospel to people in my little corner of His vineyard. Amen.

Answer to Q1: God has blessed me with the talent of preaching God's Word. I started lay-reading about 1991 and have preached God's Word in several churches in our hometown. About Five years ago we moved to another town and I have not preached since we moved. I believe God may have stopped using me for this time in my life so He could prepare me to be used in a greater way in the future. I have been studying His Word under a well-educated Pastor, for a six week course, I listen to tapes from a well-known speaker while I do my work, I am teaching Youth Sunday School classes and I have been asked to supervise Youth nights. Recently, I was asked to give my personal testimony for the first time in our new hometown, in a church I attend at night because there are no services at night in the church I am a member off. This was the largest congregation I have had the opportunity to speak to. I believe God is slowly bringing me back to do His Work and He is using people to do this. May I continue to be obedient to the Holy Spirit. I covet your prayers. Amen!
