  1. I think we all just need to remember the golden rule "do unto others as you would want them to do unto you" . I also live the rule , "I am Third" The lord is first, my family and friends are second and I am third. If you live by this, you will never have any problems that you can not deal with in life.
  2. As teachers we have a great responsiblity to those who we teach and set examples for. We need to understand that we must live the life of the lord 24/7 not just on Sunday as a lot of people think. Following the life Christ is not an easy on, but certainly is a rewarding one. I cannot think of my life with out him. Who do you turn to when time are tough. I feel for people who don't have Christ in their life, they are definitely missing something and must have an emptiness in their heart. As far should be set higher standards for our pastor than ourselves, I know this is not going to be a popular answer but no I don't feel a pastor should be held to higher standards than I am held to. He is not God, he is only God's representative on earth, but aren't we all as christians God's representative and should we not all be held accountable in the same manner. We all make mistakes and we all have to repent for those mistakes. I was torn many years ago when a Pastor friend of mine was expelled from the ministry because of a mistake he made. He was one of the finest men I have ever met, what they did to him was very hypocritial of them. The church teaches us to forgive as God would want us too, but they themselves don't. This is wrong. Remember a pastor is also only a mortal man. We need to remember that.
  3. I have been very fortunate to be raised by a mother who had no discriminations about her at all and really instilled that in me , so I have been very fortunate in that matter.
  4. God wisdom. God has always given us this, but we must be able to take what he gives us and use it wisely. That is the key. It is just like our parents when we are growing up, while we are growing up they are teaching us right from wrong and as life goes on, our parents slowly allow us to handle our own lives. They are passing along their wisdom along the way, but how we choose to use that wisdom is another story. The same is true of God, he is alway teaching us about himself and his wisdom. But not everyone has the trust in God to use that wisdom in the proper manner. Also we must never judge our fellow man, God never judges us, so we should never judge others. This is very difficult for most of us to do, not judge our fellow man. It is so easy to do that. But being born with a severe hearing defect myself, I found out very quickly how people are so willing to label us and I swore I would never to that to anyone else.
  5. Some people blame God for their troubles, but I believe most people understand that we create our own problems. God is always there to help, but he gives us the freedom to ask for his help or not. God wants us to come to him because we want to, not because he demands it.
  6. I think we all have trials in our lives from time to time. It how we deal with those trials. I am a firm believer that all things happen for a reason. We just have to realize when God is talking to us and not just ignore it. I know lately I have taken God for granted and he is in the process of talking to me. Sometime thing go so well for us in life we forget about the simple things. I am thankful God is their to remind us to get back on course.
