The sick are to initiate the prayer for healing. This is important as an encouragement to have faith and a stimulus for belief. The faith of the sick as well as the faith of the ministers are important for healing. -
Q24. Criticizing
Margaret Asuquo replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 6. Submitting Yourself to God (James 4:1-12)
When we bad-mouth a neighbour, we are not working in love and thus sitting in judgement.Only God is the true Judge. It is tempting to bad-mouth because many times we are ourselves sinful and unable to say the truth in love and faced it so we choose to speak behind. -

Margaret Asuquo replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 3. Forsaking Favoritism for Love (James 2:1-13)
When we are biased agaisnt any and pay undue attention to any for any reason, then become judges for we esteem one more than the other. Our preference for one over the other more often than not is motivated by our selfish interests. -
Q9. Discrimination
Margaret Asuquo replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 3. Forsaking Favoritism for Love (James 2:1-13)
I try not to discriminate against anyone but the truth is that i may have less patience for the seemingly unserious and immoral person. The church is the laundry house for all kinds of people and we do have a open door for all kinds of people. Actually, for the downtrodden, rejected and unloved in the community. -

Q3. Doublemindedness
Margaret Asuquo replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 1. Experiencing Joy in Trials (James 1:1-18)
Doublemindedness is also as a result of confusion. When we are deaf to the voice of God , and choose to work by what we see or feel. Trials do not cure us of doublemindedness per say, but causes us to think and submit to God's will when we can obviously do nothing about the situation. Invariable, When we relax and choose to focus on God, we will see His hand in the situation and this causes us to grow in faith when God sees us through after all the failed personal self-help attempts. -
Q2. Blaming God
Margaret Asuquo replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 1. Experiencing Joy in Trials (James 1:1-18)
People blame God for evil because they believe He is all-powerful and all knowing and Soverign. God is a holy God and so He cannot tempt us with evil. God cannot tempt sinful people with evil. God has made us free moral agents with the will to make choices whether good or evil. -
Q1. Value of Trials
Margaret Asuquo replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 1. Experiencing Joy in Trials (James 1:1-18)
I have had my own fair share of trials. Today, i believe that the trials have helped in bringing me closer to God while I wait for the manifestation of His plan and purpose for me in That situation. Satan cannot destroyed me in those trials because I know that when he plans for my fall, God will always turn it around for my good. Indeed I go through the process of refining with every trial. Today, I believe I trust God more, seek His will first, and depend totally on Him. -
