  1. Hello, My name is Dianne, from New Hampshire and this is my second study on line. I have recently rededicated my morning scripture time and have already been shown that days beginning with the Lord are always better. I look forward to sharing dialogue with all of you.
  2. Taming the tongue prevents us from speaking too soon...to think of what we are about to say before we blurt something that may hurt another. Caring for the poor is to love as Jesus loved. We are to care for our 'brother'. I learned a long time ago that the word Joy! meant: Jesus...Others...You. Dianne
  3. Why do people blame God for evil? I believe that God is an easy target for blame when we don't take responsibility for our actions. Why does He tempt us with evil? He doesn't tempt us, but He allows the temptations. Does He tempt sinful people with evil? We are all sinful people, so yes. Why does He allow evil to exist at all? Free will is a powerful tool. Our freedom of choice in living good or evil is the true test of our walk with God. Our decisions allow evil. Dianne
  4. I can't say that I've always found joy in my trials, but I have always understood God's way of "growing me." In that understanding I have been under constant refinement where I find joy in the listening, the doing and the change it results in. The only way I know that Satan is nipping at my heels is when I lose my focus. When I become aware I simply ask God to rebuke him. There is no value in the trials if we don't learn anything from them. It means that we have chosen to ignore God's nudging and have resorted to our own "wisdom" which more times than not is wrong. When we submit to God's life lessons we become a more mature Christian.
