I love to study the blble. I have a prison ministry to people in all of the United States and some other countries. I do a newsletter that I mail out each monthto the prisions and the militery. I am a Community Service Chaplain. I volunteer at my church three days a week, at our food bank. We help with food and other things that are needed. I believe as a Christian we should be like Jesus and DO.

1. We are responsible 100% to those in our church, and as funds are available to the community, we are the hands of Jesus to them. We the church may be the only Jesus they see in this world.
2. I could say all day I love you, but If I do not put into action it would be dead. I work at my church helping people with thier needs, if they came to us and I told them I love you and did not help them and told them to go and we love you and did meet the need my faith would be dead
3. If we do not show mercy to the poor, and to the rich only God will not show us mercy. Matthew 5:7 says: Blessed are the merciful for they(we) shall obtain mercy. IF WE SHOW MERCY TO THE POOR. HOSEA 6:6 God tell us here that He wants us to show mercy rather than sacrifice. Mercy wins
4. God, No Respecter of Person James 2:1---My brethren, have not the faith---Jesus was no respecter of persons and He ministered to the needs of all who sought Him. Just as readily and willingly did He restore sight to the blind beggar., Bartimaeus, as He did turn water into wine for the ruler of the feast at the marriage in Cana of Galilee. Verse 2---A man with a gold ring--- The gold ring and goodly apparel is an indication of material prosperity but has no indication of the prosperity of the man on the inside, or the soul, which is the all important things in the sight of God. The man in the vile raiment might have had a soul that was fat and flourishing, having been fed bountifully at the Master's table. Verse 3---And ye have respect to him---To give the prosperous looking fellow a desirable seat and tell the other one to stand in an undesirable place is indeed a very good way to show partiality and so offend God. If the poor man were a Christian, he would accept the undesirable place and give thanks to God being allowed to be accorded standing room. "Great peace have they which love thy law" and nothing shall offend them." Verse 4---Are ye not then partial---It is the way of the world to show favor to the rich and to ignore the poor. The children of God are not of the world to show favor to the rich and to ignore the poor. The children of God are not of the world, and they are not led by its ways; but they are a peculiar people, zealous of good works-works that are pleasing in the sight of God, but not necessarily pleasing in the eyes of the world.
5. Well I do see a lot of religiosity in the church where I go. The pastor keeps preaching about us members just going through a set way of doing things, so I guess I would have to say a lot of things about people that I don't know if you call it discriminateing aganist, but I do not like the way the richer people act toward the poor. People do not want do volunteer to do a lot of the things that we need to do to reach out to people in our neighboor who are needy. My church seems to be reaching or making a impression to the richer people of our town. I DO NOT FEEL OUR PASTOR FEELS THIS WAY.I work in our church's care ministry, and its hard to get anyone to help, but if there is going to be a party or something like that a lot of people will show up. Do any of yopu have this trouble? I have tried to study Jesus's life and I believe He wants us to reach out to needy people.
6. The word tells us if we have love abiding in us we will not even notice if we have been wrong, so we can go and minister to the widow and the orphans even though sometimes we might not get any thanks. What would Jesus do? He would meet the needs of all He came in contact with (with love). A meek and quite spirit should control us.
7. Today I went to the funeral of a great lady of our church. I know it was a very sad time for the family, she was not much older than myself. It sure makes you stop and think, have I really made a difference in the world? Have I thought more of others than I have of myself? Have I thought of you Lord the way I should have? Have I loved you with all my heart, mind and soul? I know we all make New Years resolutions. To loose weight, to quite smoking, to do so many things, and some of us do stick to what we promised to do, some do not. What does Jesus tell us to do... He said to seek first His Kingdom and His way and all the things we need will be added to us. Seeking Him! I use to think it was being good, reading my Bible, praying, all of these are some of the things we must do, but the most important thing is to love Him with all our being. But how can we do that, I don
8. If we ASK! God will give us wisdom. We must ask in faith beveling, God will give us all we need.
9. Trials, if we we let God help us in them. We grow, and it gives us faith then we will not be doubleminded. We will know in all things He is in control. We surely will have trials they are good for us.
10. I believe God does allow trials to show us what is in us. If any bad is there. Because sometimes we might think of ourself as good when He says there is no one good but Him. My first time to post.
