  1. Q4. Abraham calling on the name of Yahweh meant he was contacting one GOD, (his GOD). This was a complex time for Abraham. Calling on Yahweh meant contact GOD for spiritual enlightenment, and direction. He called on Yahweh for assistance. He needed Yahweh to intervene, and resolved the issues and/or problems. When, I call on Yahweh it means that I am at my wits end. Again, I have to go into the spiritual realm. Only GOD can fight my battle, and come out glorious and victorious.
  2. Q3. It takes special faith to begin to do something in obedience to GOD before we see how it will turn out. Well, it takes one out of their comfort zone. Most people want visible proof. Something stationary. Things that are unseen, usually makes the journey seem unsurmountable. Therefore, it takes special faith to be obedient to GOD. Yes, I have had some of these opportunities. The outcome was supernatural. I experienced supernatural breakthrough from the spirit realm. My situations were so chaotic, that men could not rectify them. It took miraculous faith and healing. Yes, again, I am in the midst of this adventure. And sometimes it gets very uncomfortable, because what I am facing seem larger than life. I am being attacked from all sides. But I believe and trust, and most importantly TRUST GOD!
  3. Q2. Abraham was blessed through being a powerful nation, he was blessed through material wealth and personal gain. His family was blessed through him. GOD promised to curse others, whom cursed Abraham. All of the people of the earth through the faith of Abraham. Abraham faith, beliefs, and sacrifices proved him being the "Father of Faith". He set examples for the entire earth. I know that sacrificing his only son had to be hard. But, he had enough Faith and trust in GOD. As a result of this, GOD blessed Abraham, and us. Abraham continues to bless people through his word, and illustrations of FAITH.
  4. GOD wanted me to spread his word. I decided to go to seminary, but I let more unimportant things get in the way. GOD did not want me to stop. Yes, it is time for me to renew my obedience, so I am going to check into some seminaries and Bible colleges
  5. Q4 What do you think about Abraham and Sarah's ethic and faith? I think that their ethics and faith were not aligned with GOD's promise and word. However, I think that they took advantage of the opportunity. Material wealth and gain were important to Abraham. I also, feel that both Abraham and Sarah did not fully trust GOD, so they moved in the flesh. Yes, they were ethically and morally wrong. Marriage is sacred, and they put their marriage at risk by saying that they were brother and sister. Marriage should have came first. Yes the scripture intended to show that their actions as a lack of faith. Neither one of them sought GOD in this matter. Abraham made up his mind from the very beginning. He was so afraid of what might of happened because he was an alien and sojourner. He was basically worried about being killed. He should he sought and trusted GOD. The lessons that we should learn is to fully trust GOD, and step out on faith. Follow GOD's laws and commanded. Trust, have faith, and do not be afraid. However, I think that this lesson strengthens us and our faith. Because GOD protected Abraham, Sarah, Pharoah, and Abimelech.
  6. This story teaches us that GOD becomes very angry when someone commits adultery. In fact, GOD feels as though adultery should be punished by death. He also, takes this personal because it is a sin against him. Adultery is one of the ten commandments. Adultery is against GOD's laws and statutes. I believe that GOD can forgive a person who commits adultery. Also, blasphemy is the only sin that I believe that is not forgiveable.
  7. Why did Pharoah and his family get sick? Pharoah and his family became sick because he took Sarah as his wife. What effect did this have? Pharoah and his family were not prosperous. In fact, they were going to die. What was GOD seeking to accomplish. GOD was proving how angry he was. He was angry about adultery. This is a very detestable sin. Also, GOD proved to Abraham that he was serious about blessing him and his family. Yes, it had the desire effect. Although, Abraham and Sarah did not reveal the total, Pharoah blessed with many material possessions.
  8. What dangers faced Abraham and his family as aliens and sojourners? Abraham and his family (being aliens and sojourners) faced emotional and physical abuse. Being outsiders, they barely protected, if protected at all. Most inhabitants of a community are very protective of their material and immaterial possessions. Moreover, they were probably looked down upon. Who might oppress them? Kings, leaders, men, women and children. What "aliens and sojourners" live in your community? Poverty-striken individuals, homosexuals, people from various ethnic backgrounds. Why did they come? I am not sure why they came. Maybe because I live in a community where there are many individuals from diverse backgrounds. How are they being oppressed or discriminated against by employers and others in the community? I am not really sure about the answer to this questions. What can you and your church do to love those who are aliens? My church and myself, could go and minister as a "missionary" if you will, to these individuals. Invite them into our homes and church. Try to become as involved as possible in their lives. Finally, let them know that they are loved.
