  1. Q1. (1:12-14) From the standpoint of witness to others, you are much more credible when you are undergoing personal struggles, stress, and problems. Why is this so? Why was Paul's witness so powerful? What personal struggle are you going through that could enhance your testimony if you handled it right? Because it shows your faith in God, It shows how much you are leaning and depending on Him to bring you through. His witness was so powerful because He was in chains and still rejoicing, preaching the Word of God, being a witness for him.
  2. Why does Paul ask God to give the Philippian Christians discernment? What will be the result of discernment in their lives? How does selfishness cloud discernment? How is the good the enemy of the best in our lives? Paul asked for discernment for the Philippians so they may be able to discern what is best for them, being able to become blameless until Jesus comes. The result will be eternal life. Selfishness clouds discernments because we only think of ourselves. Not thinking about others and their feelings.
  3. . (1:6) What does Paul expect God to do for the Philippian believers? Why does he expect God to do this? What is the basis of Paul's confidence? On what basis can we expect God to do this for us He expects God to finished the work in them that He has started. He expects God to do this because He said He said so. The basis of Paul's confidence is that He trusts God. We can trust Him also, because if God said it, it must come to pass because of the Holiness of God, He cannot lie. Hallelujah!
  4. Serving as partners in the Ministry can give you great strength. You can serve as helping with the teaching, witnessing, not financially but as an arm bearers to assist the missionaries in carrying the word. You can listened as they shared their experiences with you.
  5. A slave is owned by his master. He is controlled by his master. A saint is one who is set aside by God to do His work. Not perfect, but working toward perfection, know that they are dedicated to God.
