  1. Q1. (Exodus 12) In what way did the lambs on the first Passover protect the families of God's people? What is the primary point of comparison between the first Passover lambs and what Christ did for us as our Passover Lamb? The children of Israel
  2. In what sense have we been set free or released from slavery to sin? Why do we need the Holy Spirit to help us keep this freedom? Feel free to share stories of how Christ has freed you. The Law gave strength to sin, which enhanced the power of the flesh. But through Christ Jesus shed blood an redemptive actions we are no longer in Bondage to the Law or Sin but we are now Slaves of Jesus and through the Spirit which Changes our Heart gives us power over sin and we are abled to please God through the Spirit . In which we will be doing the things contained in the Law from the heart from the inside out. The Love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost, giving us the ability to Love God with all of our heart, soul, minds and strength and to love our neighbors as ourselves. Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. 9 The commandments,
  3. What did Jesus intend the Parable of the Soils to teach us about the "message of the kingdom"? About the different soils (Hearts) in which the seed (Word) will fall upon but we may not know which soil people are. Why are these truths so important for keeping disciples from becoming disillusioned? Because it is to be an expected result of each of these types of soils (heart) although in the Kingdom three soils seems to not produce, there will be some good soil that will and we must continue to sow seed of the Word and the Kingdom not trying to decipher who is good ground or any other type we are just to examined fruit. Also we must see are any of these soils representing ourselves in need of Repentance.
  4. 1)According to the slave-ransom analogy, who is the slave? Mankind and all creation 2)What is he enslaved by? Sin 3)Who offers the ransom? God offers himself in the manifestation of Son 4)If Satan is involved in the enslaving process, why isn't the ransom paid to him? Because he is a defeated foe, therefore he is not holding any souls, he just influences to do evil. 5)Why isn't the slave-ransom analogy spelled out completely in the New Testament? Because it is not told specifically who is paid for the ransom but I still believe it is a Payment required by God and God Paid it, the violation of His Holiness. Judgment and wrath needed to be appeased they declared death and destruction but God Love refuted however, His Wisdom devised the plan - Jesus Christ Is the Wisdom , Love of God; His holiness , judgment and wrath all taken care of and man can live by God becoming a Man and redeeming us. Grace and receiving the Holy Ghost in Jesus name eternal life.
  5. Even good soil can have factors that hinder growth in various parts of the field, or make some areas grow taller and fuller wheat. What factors make a disciple especially good soil for the growth of the word or message of the Kingdom? A heart of Faith, Humility, Brokenness, Receptive and Repentance makes good soil. What might be the reasons for 30-fold, 60-fold, and 100-fold growth? Different levels of commitment, obedience, humility submission and faith.
  6. How should we disciples apply the principle: "You are not your own, you were bought with a price"? Since we was slaves in bondage and penalty of sin, Jesus -God manifest in flesh paid the ransom price therefore those whom are redeemed by the blood of God we don
  7. Which of the thorns that Jesus mentions do you think is the most dangerous: Riches, worries/cares, or pleasures? Why do you think so? I feel they all are equally dangerous but in having to choose one it will be Riches. The Bible says the love of Money is the root of all evil, money can become like a God which is Idolatry and can led to all other type of sins.
  8. What comparisons do you see between Jesus and the role of the Old Testament type of the Kinsman-Redeemer? Jesus who is God manifest in flesh became one of us He partook of (sinless) flesh and blood making God through Christ Jesus our kinsman- redeemer (the last Adam). Jesus is our Elder brother and our God (amazing)
  9. Why, according to Jesus' teaching here, do some people fall away so quickly? Because the Word doesn
  10. 1)In the New Testament world, what class of humans were freed by payment of a redemption price or a ransom? We all are Slaves to the Bondage and penalty of Sin, dead in trespasses and sins. 2)Why do you think that Jesus, Peter, and Paul used this analogy in this week's theme verses? Through Christ Jesus we are redeemed, he is the ransom by his Blood and sacrifice on Calvary cross (The Son died for Sin). We were on a course for hell and destruction But God through his Son provided the price of violating his Holiness and satisfying His righteous Judgment showing forth His Love. 3)What aspect of the Christian life does it help explain? This explains our coming Out of the bondage and penalty of Sin and becoming free slaves or Servant-sons of God. Free from the guilt and condemnation of the Devil and Bought /brought to the Liberty of an Intimate Love fellowshipping Faith Relationship with God via Holy Ghost in Jesus name. The Devil was our Master now Jesus is our Master but Jesus yoke is easy and his burden is light.
  11. Which single New Testament passage best sums up for you the lessons of Isaiah 53? Why did you chose this passage? (Select from Matt. 26:38-42; Luke 22:37; John 1:29; Romans 3:24-26; 2 Cor 5:20-21; 1 Peter 2:24-25; 1 Peter 3:18; Philippians 2:5-11 -- or any other passage you can think of.) 1 Peter 2:24-25 24Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. 25For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls. I chose this passage because it captivates much of what is being said in Isaiah 53 and ultimately we are returned (redemption) to the Shepherd and Bishop of Our Soul. This passage has some of the language in Acts 8 with the Ethiopian Eunuch. All the passages are related but my second one would be 1Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
  12. Why is repentance so central to the Kingdom of God? Why is baptism important to converts to the King? Can Christ reign in an unrepentant heart? in ref. to John 3:3-5, if you are not born again of the water and spirit you cannot see nor enter the Kingdom of God. Without repentance there is no change of Mind, direction and turning from sin which results in not turning to God therefore Faith is not there. Being Baptized in the name of
  13. In addition to our sins, the Servant also bears the punishment deserved by sinners. In what sense, if any, did Jesus bear the punishment due you when he died on the cross? We cannot bear the punishment for our sin, which would be eternal damnation in hell fires. But by Jesus Being God Manifested (Son of God) in a human existence he was able to bear the wrath and Judgment of our Sins by God. In other words God took his own judgment in a Human existence Only God could endure his own wrath and Judgment, Also Jesus is the Last Adam the Head of the New Creation
  14. What is the point of comparison between John's action and the Messiah's action? What is the point of difference? act of immersing or overwhelming. But the medium in which or with which the baptism takes place differs. John immerses his disciples in water, while the Messiah will immerse his followers in the Holy Spirit. Also The Apostles added the name of Jesus Christ to water baptism, whereas John the Baptist was unto Repentance but After the Shed Blood on the cross for “Sin”, death, Burial and Resurrection of Jesus Christ Faith and Repentance with Water Baptism now with the covenant Name invoked “Jesus Christ”. (Acts 2:38) Also You be Filled with the Holy Ghost –speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives the Utterance. Faith and Repentance is always first but Water and Spirit can be in any order but both must me done. Do you really long to be overwhelmed by the Holy Spirit? What might prevent this in your life? What might encourage it? I have experienced it with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance and I desire to plunge deeper for Tongues is just getting in but after that it is experiencing God to the fullest that he allows by Grace. Hunger and thirst for God and righteousness. And unrepentant sins but Faith and Repentance will encourage being overwhelmed by the Holy Spirit
  15. Isaiah 53 teaches what theologians call "the substitutionary atonement." In what sense does the Servant act as a substitute to bear our sins? Put it in your own words. it says He was bruised for
