  1. Self-control is a fruit of Spirit. God says in Proverb 25:28, "Like a city whose walls are broken down is a man who lacks self-control." We will be useless if we don't control our mind. God works for those of who wait for the Lord. Lack of control is mainly coming from selfishness. Moreover, if God doesn't work in our life, we tend to fail. When we say about mind control, it means controlling our mind in Spirit. And God is peace. Based on this, I am praying that God will drive me every moment: in working, talking, serving, even in sleep. I want to be a God-driven man. It works sometimes. But in many times, I need to control my mind. I still have selfish part in me (old being). God says in 2 Corinthian 5:17. "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!" Praise the Lord!
  2. I often forget God when I have too many things to do or have too much burden on me. However, if I present all things to Him, I can see that God is doing all (but not by me). By acknowledging Him in every moment, the relationship with God is built. Trusting in God is a natural outcome. Our heart can be changed only by Holy Spirit. When I obey Him, He gives me a peace in my deep heart. And this is His promise. In James 4:2b-3, God says "You do not have, because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures." First thing we have to do in our daily life is to ask Him with right motives.
  3. Even things are not going well or are worrisome, by prayer with thanksgiving, God gives me hope and sometimes perseverance. It is not because I eagerly want something, but because God is my strength. Also, prayer in thanksgiving continually guides me to the positive attitude in my faith life. Peace is from the thanksgiving to God, no matter what situation I face.
