  1. What is the significance of sering Jesus as a 'slave' as opposed to serving him as a preference? Serving Jesus as a slave, so that we do the masters well. Do what we are commanded to. Preference, mean by our own well, not Jesus. What does it say about the quality of our service? to serve with all our minds, hearts, soul and body. We must do the best we can, and rely totaly on God. Even if it costs us greatly. Of our comminment: with all our hearts, minds, soul and body. whats is wrong with leaders who serve out of preference? they are seving their own ideals. Not what God is shown thourgh his word.
  2. Q2. Who has come alongside you to teach you? A couple of wonderful people have educated me on and have taught very well. What potintial leader in your church needs someone to come alongside them? right now, we are looking for a bible based church in our area. Do you have a person or two that you are mentoring :as a son with a father, or ' daughter with a mother'? Yes,
  3. Why was timothy's selfless concern so rare among church leaders? Durning this time most leaders wanted control and the glory for themselves. Timothy was the shinning example of how we should have selfless concern for others. Rathers than pointing the finger at others in your church, consider yourself. What things has Jesus had to deal with in your life that has helped you to genuinely selfless and forcused on the concerns of others? unforgiviness! Which I have worked on with Jesus help, and I have successed! Praise God! So now I can reach out! How has he refined you ? He still is.
  4. I was asked to give a bible lesson at church not to long ago. I was a little scared speaking in front of my fellow brothers and sisters. For this was going to be my first time to give a lesson. So, I prayed for Gods help and strenght to do this. At the time, I thought my own nevseness was all I was going to have to deal with. Boy! Was I wrong. It seemed that the devil was in waiting for this very thing. He hit from every direction, money problems, health, for getting a word or even what it looked like. Simple words I might add. Each week I taught the harder things became. There where times there I thought I"d better stop. But, with all God glory, I didn't and I lived though it. I didn't get though it on my own, but on God's. The people knew I was getting hit pretty hard, they prayed for me. In the end, IT WAS GOD GLORY! This struggle was an Honor to GOD.
  5. we must hold to his word by reading his word every day. To set aside a time to be in his persents and to study his word. Also for me to raise my children to do this same thing. Teach them Gods word, to set aside a time for them to study and be in his presents.
  6. shingng as stars in a dark sky means that we should be beakens for others. They should be able to see christ at work in church as well as in us. yes, this is going on in my small church. Basicly over an elder hiring a pastor without the other elders knowing, nor a vote of the church. For going the bylaws of our church. This has caused much anger, confussion, and fighting to say the very least. What can I do? This one I'm stumped. For, this pastor troubles me greatly. So, I've turned it over to God and pray that I watch my own behavor and tongue.
  7. it means to me that we in our churches shouldn't be fighting among our selves. To get angry, upset and put down. it means to help, fellowship and worship to gether in christ Jesus. To be perpared for the Return of Jesus as a body. To reach out to each other and be sisters and brothers to each other in Jesus.
  8. so we can see others needs over our own. To help them along in their walk with Jesus. sadly, yes there is a division in my small church. Those who want to meet their own needs and unfornately have the need to ram rod things. Which has caused hurt and distrust amoung us. I'm praying for those who has to do these things.
  9. Its a great comfort for me to know that upon death I'll be seeing Jesus. That its immediate and not to remain in the grave.
  10. Q 3- Fear sometimes takes a life of its own. With imagine fears of how or what others might think of our witnessing. We assume we know what they are thinking, which is somehow what we thought at one point or other. But when we get to know our Lord Jesus, and look to him for the words that needs to be said, the fear somehow calms. Then the holy spirit is able to work through me and puts down my fear. Losing our life for Jesus and that gives us abundant life. I think has two meaning. At least for me, First, when we boldly witness, the lord blesses me here on earth. Secondly, if I hold firm to Jesus, and if I die without faultering in the face of evil, then I'll will be blessed in heaven. My fear is: will frankly, not saying things right. When I look toward my self, instead of jesus, I say all the wrong things. Which doesn't bring people to Jesus, but drives them away. But when I take the "I" out of it, and just state what God's word says, I do so much better. I have to let God control, not me.
  11. I am thankful that we don't stay in the grave till Jesus returns. Least those who believe.
  12. Going through our own struggles helps us to wittiness to others. That we can keep our eyes upon Jesus even through the most trying of times. We have Paul as our example on doing this. Those that see us in our times of fire, they can look and see Jesus upon our faces. They can see how believers use their faith in getting though hard times. My family and I have been and are going though some hard times. Although I fail becauce I took my eyes off Jesus, I get back up, dust my self off, and look back to Jesus. I don't know when things will get better, but I do have God's promises, and those I am claiming and standing firm on. have a blessed day
  13. Paul knew that God would provide and was well aware that God would Shape him with what he needed to do. Paul knew God's grace and love.
  14. supporting a church, minstery or missonary with prayer, money, and other needs is a way to help futher God's word. This should done with a joyful heart and with gladness. The Lord loves a joyful giver.
  15. question 1: slave: NT- I was brought and sealed by the blood of Christ Jesus. To serve him with a joyful heart. To obay my master's word and commandments. saint: Mean that we are holy under God. All things belonging to God is holy.
